Compare that to, say, Ed Sheeran or Sam Smith, or some other current popular artist and it's fairly dire.
What's that all about?

but look at his chart success with the single 'Two Fux'
Peak positions:
#72 Czech Republic (Rádio Top 100)
#1 Finland Download (Latauslista)
#19 Hungary (Single Top 40)
#47 Poland (Polish Airplay Top 100)

Has 'No 1 in Finland' replaced 'Big in Belgium' in rock's satirical tomfoolery?

In fact, he is supposed to have been # 1 in Finland... DOWNLOADS, apparently according to Latauslista, whatever that means :)
He might be big in Belgium, as well :)
Jokes aside, I still like his current performances with the Band and hope they get to record together.

Probably to do with talent and good songs/tunes? Ed Sheeran and or Sam Smith and alike are pretty talented singer songwriters and they're making good music which the public want to listen to. They are selling out huge arena's and stadium's also, just because lambert is singing for may & taylor doesn't mean he's gonna sell bucket loads of record's in his own right. As with most reality tv show singer's most are just a flash in the pan and only have around a 2 year life span? that's just the way it all work's, lambert's probably lasting a little longer because he's been touring so much with them? once that finishes i'm sure he will just fade away like the rest of the reality tv show type person's? his sale's in the uk speak for themselves here, even for the size of the USA to only sell that amount is very poor, Probably mostly only kid's who have purchased his record's and they alway's just move on to the next new guy on the block.

I already knew his solo career never took off....I wonder If his music sold more would he be still playing with Brian and Roger? Or he would have left for his solo career if he blew up like sam smith and Sheerhan. Anyway, the problem for him is he's not a good songwriter. I hope they don't record an album with him. Let the Queen name go.....It would be a pop and ballads album. Lambert can't sing Rock.

Where is SweetCaroline? haha

As mentioned above - despite losing a TV talent contest he has actually carved a career for himself despite having pretty standard sales. I hope he has good people around him that are telling him to invest in property right now because this isn't going to last. Good on him I say.

Except Queen went up the charts after that.
Lambert started out good (due to American Idol) and now his album sales are taking a nosedive.

I'm pretty sure that had Queen had the same exposure as Adam then sales of the first album would have been far greater.

I haven't listened to his albums but there could be several reasons for these poor sales:
1. The music is substandard and people don't want to buy it
2. The music is not substandard but it's difficult to market, people don't want to buy it
3. He's spending too much time with the Queen tour to really invest in his own career.
4. He's too associated with Queen to be taken seriously as a solo act in his own right.
I don't think he's a bad singer at all, in fact I think he's an excellent singer, but he's very musical theatre. Perhaps that's the answer. Perhaps he should aim more at that market. He'd sell more, get paid more. I don't think he's a musician though. I think he's a singer. I don't think that he has the songwriting or production abilities that others have, and that will show through in recordings.

It really doesn't matter to me how much someone sold albums.
To me important is what I like or not.
I like a few songs from Adam but I don't even know the names of his albums.

You might want to go with the more optimistic "Lambert's most recent album sales", he's not out of it yet!
