I know a lot of people don’t really care for this album but I’m one of those who do think the album is pretty good. Since the new Freddie movie is coming out do you think it’s possible that they will release a remastered Mr Bad Guy album this year? I remember that either the Queen FB page or the Freddie one teased and asked if we the fans would want a remastered album. Let me know what you people think!

Even if almost everything from these sessions were already released, it would be nice to have proper 4CD+1DVD Deluxe Edition of this excellent album!

You know the Malouf mix of Great Pretender? They should do that with Mr. Bad Guy. Remasters are crap, no one can tell the difference, a remix is required. The album is concreted to the 80's due to its sound and production. The person who chose the cover should be shot. I check in every few years but end up upset at all the great vocals surrounded by guff.

They re-did Barcelone, why not Mr. Bad Guy? Also there must be more extras still not released properly.

Mr. Bad Guy had great vocals, no Question about it...but without good musicians backing him up it all went to waste. Brian's solo was the opposite, great musicians like cozy Powell on it with great guitar work, but didn't have a proper vocalist to drive the songs home. A shame Freddie went in that direction when he could have hired great musicians to play on his solo album instead of those hired stiffes. Brian was on a nice creative streak in the 90's , but had no singer. It is what it is. What could have been is the only Question.

I like songs from Mr. Bad Guy album as songs are. To me, there is no need for remastering.

It's a cool album. I rarely listen but when I do I think it's just bonkers enough to please me. I'm not sure I own a BM album... they're a bit dull.

Mr Bad Guy never got the attention it so truly deserved.
My fave track on that album was "Man Made Paradise" Freddie's vocals were incredible on that track. I hear that Queen also worked on than track but still in the archives and unreleased at present..

"Man Made Paradise" is my favourite song too. And "I Was Born to Love You" and "Love Kills".

It's already been remastered with the intent of releasing it for Freddie's 70th, along with the original Barcelona I gather. However, in true fashion, plans changed and we got the compilation set instead.
BUT, if you listen to that, you can hear some of those remastered tracks are on there....

They just need to pull their fingers out and get the albums released!

invisible Woman : So sad that Brian john & Roger ignored "Man Made Paradise" when the "Made in Heaven" album was getting recorded.
Also the track "I guess were falling out" was also ignored.

Man Made Paradise is really good, but didn't fit the theme of the album....MIH was an album of reflection with songs like Winter's Tale and Mother Love, My Life Has Been Saved. Man Made Paradise was more of the party era Hot Space Freddie....I love the operatic ending to that song. The Title track Mr. GUY was also good.

Yes i was amused that on one of Freddies B sides "She blows hot and cold" Freddie let Brian into the studio to record his blistering guitar bits!

I love Mr. Bad Guy, absolutely, 100% - there's nothing about it I don't like (even the artwork lol). I know that one man's meat is another's poison, though...

I remember when it was one of the harder to get albums (and bloody expensive, too!). It took me years to get it, and now it's one of the albums I have several copies of lol.

It’s a poorly produced album and could be presented differently either by remixing to get better and meatier sounding drums and bass guitar, but Queen are not in the habit of doing that with their catalogue (other than the odd one here and there like Teo Toriatte). It’s also actually quite sparse instrument wise and doesn’t have lots of parts like a Queen album that could be brought out - a lot of it is just simply synths or piano, a drum machine, guitars and vocals.

It’s already been released in remastered version as part of previous releases so seems pointless to remaster again, but that’s exactly the reason I expect to see it released again on the back of the movie.
