I find it quite impressive how much time and energy some people spend trying to convince other people that Q+AL is not Queen, shit, destroying Queens legacy etc.
What is the point of this? Too much time? Too much negative energy? Queen is owned by Brian, Roger and Jim Beach these days...they van so what they want, some of us will like it, some won't. Whatever we feel about it, whatever we will write about it in the internet it will mit change a thing.
But telling other people they should not like it is absolutley nonsense. What a waste of time this is...
Even in 86 they had problems seeing some of the German dates, i know as was based in Germany then. there were so many offers including buy one get one free in the weeks leading up to the shows
Also the figures for the shows aren't in yet so no way to know how many tickets were actually sold. One of the best shows was apparently Berlin, the crowd went wild for them there, and correct me if I'm wrong runner but isn't that in Germany somewhere!!!
oh and I'm a Queen fan from the 70's I loved them live with Freddie and I love them live with AL. I took an Adam hater to a show a few years ago and he was omg hes nailed it and he loved the show so much we've been to 3 since then
jeffuk49, that’s what I’ve been saying for 6-1/2 years now. You can’t judge the QAL collaboration by watching it on YouTube. Like other concerts of other artists, you have to experience it live to get the true picture. And I’m not talking only about Adam because the whole show is so impressive thanks to those two legends putting it together.
Adam is not just a performer from a reality show. His stage experience started when he was age 10. That’s why he was so comfortable on American Idol. Most of those contestants have never performed in front of a live audience before that show.
Adam is a better live performer than recording artist. On his solo tours his recorded music comes alive because he gives it a different vibe on stage that is not possible in the studio!
I’m glad the Dublin show is not the end and if possible I hope the Vegas gig isn’t either!

I have been to 2 QAL shows. One each time they played in the States. There were a lot of Queen fans sitting near me and we talked before and during and after the concert. The ones I spoke with really loved Adam and the show. I didn't meet one person who hated it. I also listened to other conversations when I was walking about and leaing the show and the overall atmosphere was that people were happy. I really don't thing most old fans still hate it
From all the twitter/facebook comments this last week there are loads of Queen fans going to the shows now. I've seen a lot of comments saying they were skeptical and changed their mind and one guy even said "I didn't like Lambert, only went for Brian & Roger, but jeez the guy can sing and he's so respectful to Freddie's memory and to the band, totally changed my mind, absolutely loved it".
