I think she meant because he is gay, he is most certainly a Queen! I know even after 6 years and singing maybe 180 shows, Adam is not worthy of anything to do with Queen. Any chance you get, you throw another little dig at QAL and then you talk about being a fan. I just don't get it! You are every bit as obsessed with Freddie and defending him, as you say Caroline is about Adam. It is just too funny! [/QUOTE]

If that's what she meant, I wonder how it would be taken if runner, happystar or myself said he was a Queen?
I don't think he is a Queen in all the connotations it has. If you thought my post was a dig, knock yourself out.
And again, I'm not near as obsessed with Freddie, and definitely not the way sweetcaroline is obessed with AL. Do you see me reaching for the homophobia excuse, the way sweetcaroline does with AL? No. That there is a big difference between her and I.

How can you be obsessed with someone you didn’t even know existed until after he died?

I'm not obsessed at all, so there is that. Do you see me doing what type of things you do? Like lusting? Crying victim at every chance? Posting family pics of Freddie's family? Hell no.
Too bad for you that you don't know or care much about Freddie and Queen, because that could open your eyes. I dare say you are missing out on so much by being so focused on AL.
I'm not the obessed one here. That is you. But you always must deflect and try to make me look bad.

I think calling Adam a queen would very much depend on who said it and how. It is like being called Madam. If Brian says that with love, it is fine. But if Happy Star or Runner call Adam that, it would not be fine because they would mean something deragatory by using that term.

Being obsessed with someone has nothing to do with "the homophobia excuse". I agree with Caroline that Adam might be in a different place now, if the AMA stuff hadn't happened and that was related to Adam being gay. Pictures of him and his boyfriend were released on Fox News and I am pretty sure that didn't help Adam win Idol. Adam has himself mentioned being told by a theater director to "tone it down" (the gay). He has talked more lately about being gay and there were definitely things that affected him because of homophobia. I think Fever would have been a huge hit, but he couldn't put "him" in there. Even 10 years ago things were quite different and Adam was most definitely affected by them. To say that in no way means I am obsessed with him! I don't understand the relationship to feeling Adam's career has been impacted by homophobia and obsession.

I truly don't believe that Caroline is in any way lusting after Adam. That is ridiculous. Even old gals still can see if a gentleman looks good or not and there is no lust there! I can say Elvis was a hot ticket, but I am not lusting after him. Being able to say that someone is handsome or sexy does not necessarily imply lust. Geez Louise!! Quit throwing crap at her just to see what sticks!!

People can focus on what they want. It is harder for me to focus on Freddie, since I never saw him in concert or anything like that. I can enjoy Queen for what it is without an encyclopedic knowledge of Freddie. I have been following Adam for 10 years almost, seen him in every tour and the QAL tours and he interests me more and I am sure the same goes for Caroline. Adam and Queen are a known entity that we read about and have seen and Freddie is just kind of out there. I am just not as involved with him, so it doesn't pique my interest as much. It doesn't mean I don't admire him, but I don't think of him on a day to day basis. We post here about QAL and not on the solely Queen boards for a reason. And that is OK to do, Icy, You don't need to throw that in everyone's face. Everybody has preferences and they are all good!

Look at this way. Look where AL is now. Forget the bloody AMA Awards, what happened, happened, and I think AL was stronger and more determined because of it, or in spite of it.
I'm thinking some people throw around homophobia too easily in regards to AL. What excuses will it be next time if his solo music doesn't do well?
Yeah, sweetcaroline lusts over AL. Why does she have to point out how good looking, sexy, gorgeous he is...and on Queen boards. That's lusting to me. It's like horny Bieber fans from a few years back that preteens used to post. Thing is sweetcaroline is far from a preteen at least age wise.
What do you mean Freddie is just kind of out there?
I'd love your views on some things about Freddie and Queen. But it doesn't interest you as much as Q+AL dose, whch honestly I think is a shame. I know you like other music, which is good, at least there is that.
As for throwing things in my face. How many times will sweetcaroline throw and bitch in my face because I haven't gone to my Q+AL shows? Plenty. And I think that's messed up, especially I explained to her why I couldn't go. So she does her share of throwing things around too.
Yes, everyone has preferences. I like Q+PR more than Q+AL, but I admire and respect Freddie, Brian Roger and John even more. I'm not ashamed of that.

I dont know what happened at AMA (whatever that is) but the only reason why this tool has no solo career and is living on Maylor is the fact that he simply sucks. Full stop

There's lots of reasons his solo career isn't as successful as it could be and Adam being Adam and stubborn is probably a major one but if he's ok with that then fair play to him.

The AMA is the American Music Awards. First televised solo performance of his single off his about to be released first album after Idol. Adam was given the closing spot and he ended up dragging male dancers around on leashes and doing a really in your face performance ending with kissing his male keyboard player. Safe to say it didn't go down too well and they cancelled several tv appearances he had for the next few days to promote his album. It's sort of followed him around ever since and the guy over the AMA's boycotted him which is why people always mention it.

Stubborn????? He is a waverider in every way. Trying Max Martin covers etc. Always looking for the flavour of the month. a CASTING MUPPET bar 3. He cannot write songs nor play an instrument. So all is is looking for are the right pple and the current music trends. Safe and bland. And not even this is working the slightest. Even Joe Public is not that deaf and dum to believe that he is any good.

Hm i smell bullshit regarding the AMA thing. Might be a good excuse for him to cover up his lack of artcistic abilitly. In 2018 noone should be bothered if some guy kisses a guy. SO what?

This was back in 2010 and I said stubborn because he still refuses to apologize since in his opinion he didn't do anything wrong. They got complaints after the show that people had let their kids watch and his answer was it was shown at 11pm at night and he isn't a babysitter, it's up to parents to decide what they let their kids watch etc. If he'd done the p.c. thing and said sorry it would most likely have blown over but every interview he did he stuck to his guns even though he's since admitted he was worried he'd just blown his shot. If he'd done it now I daresay no one would bat an eye but back then it wasn't the case.

As to him going along with Max on the album etc, he had left his previous label and been picked up by Warner, my guess is he didn't have a lot of clout to be able to decide exactly what he wanted to do. He's not an idiot he knows it's a business and you're a commodity who they expect you to earn money for them so he's had to toe the line on certain things.

Guys, Lambert is a Queen. He himself said so. I can‘t remember where, but it must have been shortly after my first QAL gig, when I came around to like the collaboration and googled the guy a bit. It might have been an explanation for a Queen tattoo of his?
Besides, I‘m still neither a woman nor gender fluid... lol.

He really doesn't seem like a Queen to me, then again I don't follow his life as some others do.

Queen in gay language means flamboyant, effeminate so I suppose that's how some of his fans see him.

You already said that. Must be wrong though, since I‘ve never seen a goat at any of these concerts. But I forgot: You wouldn’t know that, since you‘ve been there.
Then you should check other newspapers: the one reporting about a goat at the concerts is spreading fake news. ;-)
