Hi folks, can’t see I’ve seen anyone post this, I stumbled upon the full Freddie ‘time’ interview, I certainly haven’t seen this before and as there are about 4 interviews in total with Freddie this is quite the gem, sweet quality too.

It's from an official blu-ray release http://www.amazon.com/Dave-Clark-Five-Beyond-Blu-ray/dp/B00IVLRC88/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1532116137&sr=8-1&keywords=Dave+Clark+Five+%26+Beyond%3A+Glad+All+Over+%5BBlu-ray

Thanks for posting. Wonderfully poignant - especially with all the talk about the movie focussing more on Freddie - that at about 14 mins when asked about bringing his sound to the Time tracks, Freddie vociferously states that ‘the Queen sound’ is not him, but is very much all four of them magically entwining, and that despite trying to duplicate it on Mr Bad Guy, he couldn’t without the other three. God bless him.

Funny how he mentions John's voice when talking about Queen harmonies at 14:30.

Yeah I thought that, but it seemed it was maybe a reference to John's figurative voice in the band set up?

Nice to see more of this interview. It's the one from the Magic Years isn't it where Dave talks about Freddie being the 80s Edith Piaf. Incidentally, a quote I really didn't get for years because I couldn't work out what he said and certainly hadn't heard of Piaf :)

I sometimes wonder if Fred has a full grasp on the English language at times, his answers are so vague and obscure when he's interviewed

He seems to struggle to find ways of expressing himself...

It can happen when part of your job is to talk endlessly about yourself.

Well, one of the things I absolutely love about Freddie is that the ultimate way of expressing himself was by singing. He did feel the emotions and the way he could get them over to others was by singing.
Think about it when he was so ill, it was not him writing the poignant lyrics (, days of our lis, show must go on, mother love etc), yet it was he who was best equiped to voice these sentiments....
Intriguing!
And as a fan or music lover, you either get it or you don't.

Thanks for the link. But what a crap interview due to Freddie's obvious lack of being cohesive.

Anyone notice the red mark/bruise on Freddie's right arm near his elbow. I'm not usually somebody who looks out for things like this, but i couldn't help but notice it... seem's like KS :/

Seems to me that was just bruises.

Yep. The failure of his solo album humbled him big time.

That, combined with Live Aid, gave him and the band a second lease on life.
