To simply not allow someone to perform because of their skin color is blatant racism. I applaud Brian for standing up.

I for one am happy to see that Brian is exuding total common sense.

Unfortunately, the liberally biased term, "cultural appropriation" has gained prominence lately. Bruno Mars has also received outlandish backlash for "cultural appropriation". Fortunately, some black artists back Bruno Mars.

Sorry DoQ, I agree with Brian on this one.

Mazz is not being "cast" in anything - she would be performing as herself as part of a West End celebration (if I recall correctly).

She wants to sing aforementioned song, and isn't being allowed to because it's from a "black" show and she isn't black. This is why Brian is irked.

He's not saying "cast white people in black roles or you're racist". He's saying that music is for all.

Bruno Mars IS blatantly stealing a whole style. The lead single name cHecks so many songs and artists associated with the style that it felt like a tribute bit damn near everything there is jacked from that era.
