Jeeez you guys really do over analyse....Brian & Roger as they have since 197**** are real musos and the joint interest they have is QUEEN whereas John decided he wanted the quiet life now that might be because he felt uneasy at all the attention and felt it was a good time to retire but come on respect his privacy. The one thing I would say about his involvement in Queen is he last played with them in 1997 or 1998 so the Freddie dying can't go on thing is bollocks.
As a mental Health adviser I can say that maybe John has suffered from the lifestyle of the Queen years but I generally I just think John wants to live out his days quietly away from the limelight whereas Brian & Roger will be Rock stars till they die and God Bless them all...….
Having said all of the above I still dream of the day John walks on stage with Brian & Roger and starts playing the riff to Under Pressure...……...

I believe that nowadays, after being a very private and recluse ex-member for nearly twenty years, John's no longer able to come back, not even for a one-time-only occasion, in peace.
You know, if he appears at the premiere or at a Q+AL concert it would be massive news. He'd be back in the spotlight for fans, press and paparazzi and I don't think he really wishes that. Not after all we heard about him being shy and successfully private for so long.

Not true ... I rarely post on Facebook ... and have not posted anything about Trump on Facebook in years ...
Actually, I am concerned that Trump's tariffs will adversely affect the world economy.

If John didn't rate Robbie Williams singing a Queen track, I doubt he'd be interested in putting up with Lambert for a couple of hours.

He went to the musical and popped up occasionally at solo gigs. I'm sure he's peep his head around the door at a recent show.

John could appear on stage with Queen, just standing with arms crossed and watching the show, like Rohan Marley does during his brother's concerts.

Some people are trying to paint John as some kind of Syd Barrett type oddball recluse when the truth is he's a content, private family man who retired from the music business and wanted to live a normal life.

Do you remember the times when the "serious" forum was filled with informational and analytical threads and not politics and childish personal insults? I miss those days

John is just a guy who liked to play bass, was very good at it, and accidentally became a part of a huge band. Unlike the others he wasn't driven by some deep urge. He did a job that paid well but in the end he had enough money and had lost his closest co-worker so he wrapped up loose ends and quit. Just a guy who could retire so he did.
