Mister Cosmicc, yes I bought the “Queen Forever” album.

And I watched the whole Live Aid concert broadcast on TV in 1985.

I hope the biopic movie brings new Queen fans. All I am saying is just like the actual live Queen Live Aid performance, a movie is not as inspiring as a live show.

I’m still torn about Rami. He did a good job and is being considered for a best actor award, but it really is difficult to portray such a unique man as Freddie.

Did I miss something? I didn't hear about Rami being considered for a best actor award. Which award is he up for?
All I have wanted Bohemian Rhapsody to do is to Freddie justice. The fact it's getting new Queen fans is wonderful. It's getting more Queen fans than Q+AL.
As for the live Q+AL shows inspiring you more than Freddie's life and career concerning the biopic..of course you would feel that way. You are in for AL, and the glamour side of things, not as a Queen and or Freddie fan.

If you are looking for a Queen fan’s review of the movie, this one was posted on QOL and is not very positive:

I already watched it after it was posted over there. Am I and others supposed to be insulted nhy that or something?
Guess you can post not so positive thngs regarding Queen, but not for Q+AL.
Where is the news about Rami winning an award? I've looked it up and found nothing. Sure, some people hope he wins, but he hasn't even been nominated yet.

I think the Adam fan review and my review were kinder than the one from the Queen fan so why are you complaining that WE are biased about Adam?

If we became bigger fans of Queen music because of watching so many QAL shows over 6 years, why is that not as acceptable as someone discovering them from a single viewing of this movie? That is ridiculous!

That review wasn't even a review really. More about AL than the biopic or anything else by a Glambert. That not a bias to you?
What review did you post of your own? You didn't even know what to say about the movie...you could not find the words to say about it, except to say AL was the one who has breathed new life, and the live shows are more exciting and inspiring for you.
Fact is, you are biased about AL. Your posts here in this thread alone prove it. I'm talking about you who has barely posted about Queen since 2011, and you manage to turn just about everything back around to AL. No, you are no Queen or Freddie fan. If you were one, surely you would have something to say good, in between or not about Rami's protrayal of Freddie. Fact is, you can't come up with much to say.
As for the biopic, I always knew there would be strong emotions about it. I see all sides of it. I wish the timelnes weren't so shoddily done. I wish there was more to it after Live Aid.
I bet it burns you that this movie is getting Queen new fans, instead of Q+AL right now. This will be getting new Queen fans long after it leaves the movie screens. It's doing better money wise than I hoped for, but what I hoped for is that the film did Freddie justice. I'll see it for myself this weekend I suppose.

That doesn't mean he will end up being nominated or that he will win.

Why would I be upset about Queen getting new fans from the movie OR the live shows? I love the Queen music and am not selfish about sharing it with others. Unlike you, I can love and appreciate BOTH Freddie and Adam at the same time as well as Brian, Roger, John, Spike, Neil, Rufus and Tyler.

I really like the Brian and John actors in the movie, as well as Mary and Freddie’s Mom, Dad and Sister. Still not sure about Rami and the Roger actor. Maybe I need to see it again.

Let us know what you think if you see it this weekend. The Live Aid part is emotional.

Oh jesus who am I kidding, we'd kiss a bit an then I'd sadly thumb a slacky into her belt buckle and grind away until I finish and she'd say 'that's very nice' and then I'd ask her to hold me as I cry because my first time was a disaster.

You obviously want AL to be the one who brings new fans in...and not even for Queen, for himself. I remember your reactions every time I said I hoped that the biopic will bring new fans in for Queen. That's exactly what it's doing, but oh no that won't do, because you must put out there how it's AL who has breathed the new life.
I'm first a Freddie and Queen fan. Nope, I'm not selfish. You are the one who posted a crappy "review" by a Glambert who pretty much thought about AL while watching the film as what is said in the link you posted.
My hoping this movie does Freddie justice isn't selfish. I think you ought to look in the mirror.
You appercaite the band you say? While being so focused on AL all the time even here?
I had plans to see it on Tuesday, but something came up that day and I couldn't go then. I hope I get to see it on Saturday. I really want to see it.

I have said nothing about the biopic because there was not much to see in the trailers. And I’m not being critical about details like some nitpickers are doing. I think it was smart to begin and end with Live Aid.

Just saw the movie. While I teared up at the end, I can’t put into words my impressions.[/QUOTE]

This is what you said after watching the biopic, sweetcaroline.
There was more to Freddie and Queen after Live Aid, that's why I wish it didn't end with Live Aid.

I couldn’t put into words my impressions right away and had to think about it for awhile because it was different from what I expected. To me the way the story was presented was more of a downer than to be uplifting and inspiring. Maybe they needed to emphasize more about Freddie’s illness and how he carried on in spite of it.

What were you expecting, genuine question? It was said for ages it would end at Live Aid.
Freddie worked his ass off in his last years. That is actually inspiring and courageous, I wish that was a part of the biopic.
