You're a Queen fan but don't know about Jim Hutton, Mary Austin, or Paul Prenter (no Ess...)?

Of course you wouldn't know about Freddie's early job... you aren't a Queen fan, you're an Adam Lambert fan.

Freddie's parent's weren't at Live Aid.

They showed his parents at home, not at Wembley. I knew about Mary, Paul and Jim. I didn’t know about Mary’s boyfriend and about her being pregnant.

She didn’t get pregnant until way later. Live Aid... I just watched it again right now. So powerful, perfect set-list for the whole world. Queen’s performance will be remembered forever.

Freddie’s Dad watched Live Aid on television like billions of other people and said, “our boy’s done it!”

Queen accomplished something special that day, and no one can replicate it, not even close. And when they do the Live Aid stuff on the anniversaries, other bands like to choose a Queen song from Queen’s Live Aid setlist, but it’s never near as special.

Adam Lambert will never touch audiences the same way as Freddie could.

Yup. Queen were great on the day. No wonder why it is legendary...and Queen too of course.

Even when Queen weren't selling great in the USA, US news agencies LOVED to focus on Queen, either with interviews, reviews, or reports. Queen were an artist's band. A band's band. They were appreciated by those who knew music. Queen were well-accomplished musicians and song writers. Queen's music will live on forever.

In a thousand years, people will still be talking about Freddie, but they won't be talking about Adam.

Did you see the movie? I said Freddie was hugged by his emotional Dad and Mom right before Live Aid — at home. Must you fight about everything?

Of course the actual Live Aid performance cannot be replicated in a movie with actors who are not actually singing or playing instruments. I’m saying that was the best part of this movie.

And when I say the current live stage shows are more inspiring than the movie it is not because I am a Lambert fan. It is because live shows with two original Queen musicians as well as an outstanding front man is bound to be more electric and inspiring.

Did you buy the 'Queen Forever' album, SweetCaroline?

Who are you asking who has seen the movie? Must you always "ask" who goes to this or that?
No, I haven't seen it.
Yeah, you are a Lambert fan only. One of the first things you did in this thread was to post a "review" from a Glambert no less. You didn't even bother to give a review from a Queen fan, or give a review of your own.. It's not that hard to figure out why you do things.
I doubt you know how incredible Freddie was onstage, in studio, on video. Freddie was and always will be outstanding even years after he passed away his music is still living on, that's the truth and the mark of a great artist. But oh no, you must always put Q+AL first, and especially AL first even when the biopic is about Freddie and Queen. It's AL who has breathed new life for Queen you say, and the live shows are more exciting and inspiring than even the biopic which tells the story of Freddie's and other lives. Like I said and hoped for months, the biopic is making so many new Queen and Freddie fans, and the music once again is doing very well. That's not because of Lambert, no matter how much you want it to be.

“When Queen Took “Bohemian Rhapsody” to Live Aid”

Mister Cosmicc, yes I bought the “Queen Forever” album.

And I watched the whole Live Aid concert broadcast on TV in 1985.

I hope the biopic movie brings new Queen fans. All I am saying is just like the actual live Queen Live Aid performance, a movie is not as inspiring as a live show.

I’m still torn about Rami. He did a good job and is being considered for a best actor award, but it really is difficult to portray such a unique man as Freddie.

Back to Rami — he was definitely a better choice than either SBC or Ben Whishaw. I was thinking Dominic Cooper could have performed the part, but Rami is unique like Freddie.
