Not so much breathing new life as flogging a dead horse.
"Queen is the only band in the world that can play so heavily that your nose bleeds, then offer a silk handkerchief to clean up with."

Flogging a dead horse? That incredible music will never be dead!

Correct, but not because of Lambert.

What is wrong with that review? Are you guys really THAT desperate for ammo you just grab every little thing to attack?

Sad.[/QUOTE]

It's not a review for one thing.

Indeed. I've always said AL isn't the reason the music lives on. And he isn't.

It is true that Adam has breathed new life into the Queen story by touring live with them for 6 years and helping to bring their amazing anthems to old and new.fans alike.

The biopic is bringing new Queen fans in.
The biopic and what it's doing for the surge in Queens popularity is amazing to see.

The movie is informative but not very inspiring except for the Live Aid portion. If you have never seen their spectacular Live Aid performance, the movie does s good job of replicating it.

The live shows with Brian and Roger are more exciting and inspiring!

Holly, I almost wrote “flogging a dead horse” and then I backtracked. Glad you slipped that in!

I thought you said you couldn't put into words what you feel about the movie?
Wondering why you think the movie was informative since more than one timeline was out of place.
And of course you would think the live shows are more exciting and inspiring...no surprise there.
The music of Queen and the courage of a very ill man working and singing his heart out is what I call inspiring.

Adam Lambert isn't inspiring much. He's only inspiring the dreams of 55-75 year old women that can't get action because they have Trump-obsessed Republican husbands.

I didn’t know much about Mary, Paul Prenters and Jim Hutton so that is what I found informative. The movie was more sad than inspiring. I got choked up when Freddie hugged his Dad right before Live Aid and when his Mom was emotional watching him performing in Live Aid on TV. I also didn’t know he was a baggage handler before meeting up with Brian and Roger in the Smile band.
