He played at a private Christmas Party of a big company in Manila /Phillipines with his band.
Here is the setlist (order unknown, fans only got snippets on social media from guests). I guess, he made a lot of money and the guests at the party looked pretty happy!

Yeah yesterday a guy posted that he was working with Adam and his band so everyone assumed he was just gearing up for new music but they must have been rehearsing for the Manila show. His publicist confirmed it was a private show, seems it was a corporate xmas show. I suppose being in Manila and private he wouldn't have put it out on twitter etc but some clips got posted on instagram.

He's been working on new music, a shame he didn't have anything new to perform here.
Artists don’t perform new music for the first time at private events.
They sell that performance as an exclusive to radio or TV stations.

I agree. What a mix of songs though. I've read he chose what to sing.
Icy is never happy. He sang a mix of his own songs and various covers, but now she wants to know why he didn’t sing any new songs. Icy. you must be the unhappiest person on this earth because all you do is find the negative in everything, never the positive.

My opinion: very interesting and broad setlist. I have the feeling, Queen‘s songs will still get performed by a fantastic singer, should Brian and Roger retire one day. And that does make me happy. Although it won’t be the same.

Well it's an interesting set of songs ;-) and one of my favorite AL solo songs got played so there is that at least ;-).
I'd love to know why he picked these songs in particular.
Queen's music is not in danger of dying out anytime soon. These days the biopic is reigniting interest in Freddie and Queen and playing a huge part in having Queen get new fans. That means more to me than any award ;-). It's exactly what I hoped for.
Q+AL is hardly the only group or the only thing that has been keeping Freddie's and Queen's legacy going and growing. The biopic, new releases, music being used in film and tv adverts, hell even bootlegs of Queen concerts do that too. I think we both can agree on that much at least ;-).
I got to say, I hope AL will not be singing Queen covers for the rest of his singing career. It does surprise me the # of Queen songs he sang at this particular event, and it's ones he's been singing for ages now. I can't tell by the clips I saw if it was new arrangements or not.

Eh? Who said I'm not happy? He has nothing new to sing, even though he's been working on new music, and I think it's a shame he didn't have anything new to sing at this event. I guess not even Lucy which is the biggest surprise, since it has the Brian May connection, but he sang ALN instead.
Do you want the guy to be stuck singing covers of other people's music forever or something? Would you rather he had something new to sing?

Unlike you, I don't live in an AL bubble where everything is spectacular and magnificent no matter what AL does. Nor would I want to live in AL bubble if short shorts and even bare feet when Freddie did it onstage causes you such shock and pearl clutching. Are you ever going to answer why you have such strong feelings about Freddie wearing and doing that, going by the way you act about it, you must be offended by it...or jealous because AL doesn't do it. Or will you just continue to throw crap at me and ignore what I ask you, as a way to try to deflect? Or come back with one of your usual links to God knows what AL has done or is doing to keep this thread going?

He has sang Queen songs before without Brian and Roger. Strictly is the most recent example before this. He also sang WWTLF recently without Brian and Roger.
So he keeps riding those coattails in any case ;-).

If he keeps singing covers more than his own stuff, he will end up as the guy who sings covers more than his own music.
Besides, he will never be a Queen singer to me, not even an ex Queen singer.
