Ok the select few already know about thia future release. But what songs do you think will be added. I can only think the recent Fat Bottom Girls Paris79 will be added and If You Can Beat Them ....any ideas??

Somebody to love, fat bottomed girls, It's late, if you can't beat them. And maybe teo torriatte from Japan and big spender and jailhouse rock from Paris. It's perfect for me

*only the select few would care.

Although it's the album that got me into the band, it's also doctored in the studio if not rerecorded entirely by mobile recorder and it's not any one distinctive performance like a LIVE SHOW would be.

Even though a huge nice vinyl copy would look great, anything without a previously unreleased live concert video included would never get my money

Yeah, 3 cd's plus a concert or 2 would be sweet!

If it's a Live Killers 40th release then neither CLTCL or Save Me could be included because they weren't played on the European Tour that the album was recorded on.

The studio versions hadn't been released and as far as I'm aware weren't even written. CLTCL was released before the Crazy Tour at the end of '79 and played on that tour. Save me had not been released but was previewed on the Crazy Tour. Again long after Live Killers.

During the early Crazy shows we recorded Save Me on cassette recorders and learnt it off by heart prompting Freddie to say "They know the bloody words" or something to that effect.

Where is the info about a 3CD release coming from?

LK was the first place I heard so many all time favourites. The First three sides are, in my mind, perfect.

If they do add tracks, I'd prefer them to be served up in a different set and not spliced in. But you know, one of the few live releases I'm really excited about.

Is it actually a 'Live Killers' 40th re-release, or just a live set 'of that era' as opposed to specifically 'Live Killers' based?

If it is Live Killers then stretching this to 3 CDs would be pointless, but an extended 2CD with If You Can't Them, Somebody To Love, and Fat Bottomed Girls, plus then a Blu Ray as the 3rd disc with a live video gig from the era would be great.

if however it's a 3CD set just showing Queen live in the late 70s in general, then Crazy Little Thing and Save Me should be added.

The 40th anniversary of a compilation is a stupid concept from the start, and the current Queen management has all the credentials to prove that, once again.
How about forget Live Killers, pick a tape from the vault with eyes closed and burn it on CD. Too straightforward for you Brian? It won't kill you, believe me.
But another re-re-release, with crummy "bonuses" might kill your fans. Live Killers, a most appropriate name.

I don't think you can call a live album a 'compilation'. Unless of course it is made up of live tracks already released (which Live Killers wasn't).

And not really a re-re-release since it wasn't included in the 2011 re-masters.

I agree it's not a brilliant idea unless missing tracks are added and they don't fiddle to fuck with it.

Just tart up Paris and get it out on DVD.

It's a live compilation, there are no "missing tracks" and couldn't be any "bonuses", strictly speaking. It could be only another compilation, but I doubt this is the current approach.

Live Killers re-mastered with missing tracks.
Live in Paris 79.
Rock for Kampuchea DVD/ Bluray.
Plus any extra items they are prepared to add as extras.

The live discs will probably get the title "autotuned".
