Isn't every studio album just a compilation of studio recordings?

I think the Live Killers re-master should be just that, a remaster of the original album, presented as it was released. That after all was the album and so should be released as a stand alone product

Live in Paris 79 presented as a live album, maybe something from the 78 US dates if they have anything and Hammersmith 79 together with a DVD of Hammy odeon and or Paris released as a box set.

If Live Killers had the missing songs included there would be little point in releasing anything else from the 78/79 tours as it would be a kind of broad view of what they were playing at that time anyway

They'll probably do a stand alone straight reissue, and a box set with the additional cool jive.

Probably ensuring that if you would love an untouched version, plus the additional tracks you'll have to buy both.

That said, the current Bowie boxsets have included the live albums (David Live and Stage) in the original sequence (2 discs), and the remixed expanded versions (3 disc). Tellingly, in both cases I much prefer the original sequence of both.

Although it's the album that got me into the band, it's also doctored in the studio if not rerecorded entirely by mobile recorder and it's not any one distinctive performance like a LIVE SHOW would be.[/QUOTE]

Almost any band on the planet doctors their live albums, Queen is no exception. LK wasn't entirely re-recorded. There are several bootlegs to prove that.

Maybe they skip it because there's another tour coming up and the movie is still massive. Let's not get our hopes up guys. They've let us down so many times now i am counting on nothing.

It could well be 8 discs (or two separate releases):

2 CDs = a compilation of Paris shows
1 DVD = a compilation of Paris shows + highlights of different shows on the 1979 Jazz tour (such as Munich, Tokyo)
1 Blu-ray = a compilation of Paris shows + highlights of different shows on the 1979 Jazz tour (such as Munich, Tokyo)

2 CDs = Hammersmith 1979
1 DVD = Hammersmith 1979 + any other Crazy Tour footage (there might only be Crazy Little Thing Called Love from the Bristol soundcheck)
1 Blu-ray = Hammersmith 1979 + any other Crazy Tour footage (there might only be Crazy Little Thing Called Love from the Bristol soundcheck)

There could be a documentary about arguably the best year for seeing Queen in concert judging by lots of raw footage from different venues. A lot of soundchecks were partly filmed on the European tour. Interviews too for that matter.

As there's quite a few complete concerts filmed during the year there could be a potential for two releases but it could be a big box set with just the one concert on CD but two complete filmed shows on the DVD and Blu-ray. We can only guess until an announcement probably around September/Octoy as the last couple have been - simply a long time to wait.

Again, Hammersmith doesn't belong to LK.

I can’t find anything official about this release. My guess is they could give a shit about the 70’s stuff. They’ll probably re release Montreal or Wembley again
Mark Morrissey

There is no official info yet. Just a Queen Productions idea. They could not release it as well. Ideas come and go along the way.
