Queen's biggest problem is Brian. He seems to have some "perfectionist obsession" going on, whereby even their demos/outtakes must be in a "decent enough" condition to be able to undergo/sustain through restoration to his "superior standard" before the fans can have it.[/QUOTE]

And that same perfectionism is what helped make their classic albums from 1974-77 what they were - perfect.

It's a package deal.

Yep. I'm not leveling that as a criticism of Brian, just citing it as the reason why many demos will likely not see light of day.

to be honest, i don;t think it is.
they're happy with their finances. i really think it's Brian's personal pride in his work - he genuinely doesn't want fans to hear anything sub-standard that he was involved with.
and, let's face it - who would?

I suppose it’s Brian’s view of what equates to ‘sub-standard’ that’s the issue!

Most artists want to protect their process, which is extremely private and personal. It's their diaries.

As fun and amazing it can be for us to hear the process, it's their right to guard it.
