Ferry Feller? Are you referring to Freddie?

Dear Jimmy Dean, "Like they did with the horrid News Of The World Box or the disgusting Rainbow box where they actually gave us that piece of vomit that was a live version of Ferry Feller?" On what planet do you live? Why the vitriole?

Sarcasm! I love those releases. They were more than I would have expected. They could have given us less and I would have been satisfied.

It's evident that they're missing John (quality control) and Freddie's(artistic vision/style) touch.
We love you Mandy!

Jimmy Dean: i was referring to the terrible "Queen Forever" collection even Roger hated that one![/QUOTE]

Yes I definitely agree with that. But really if you put aside all the compilations, there really aren’t that many duds.

We complain that there’s repetition or that they release stuff we already have from bootlegs. I enjoyed The BBC box while most complained, same with Hammersmith.

I do agree with Queen Forever being nothing more than a waste of time and space. A 3-song EP would have been enough.

Jmmy Dean Yes we have had some great Dvd Releases but i think the golden jewel in the crown for most Queen fans must be The Hyde park 1976 concert and still no official release as Brian says the sound is so poor on that concert.
While many bands treat there fans regular Queen fans wait almost an eternity for new things to appear.
I would have thought Brian and Roger could share some of there personal collections for releases of things we have not seen or heard? If you are a Beatles fan or an Elvis fan there is almost something to buy every year without fail but Queen fans must be the most patient souls on the planet!

In fact they are the most demanding souls on the planet.
Daddy Brian must buy them new toys every year to keep them entertained.

Daddy Brian does not do enough to keep his royal children entertained!

No, I believe the sound of Hydepark could be fixed. I believe the old U-matic tapes from the footage had unrestorable damage caught .

Mastertape from Hammy 1979 was missing too from what I remember. They only had the videofeed tape which was poor quality.

Justin and Kris can't fix bad sound, they only digitally fuck up perfectly good analog sources.

Surely the Hyde Park and Hammersmith shows 76 and 79 could be restored or made up decent from different sources provided by fans?
And while i am in moaning mode what has happened to Earls court 1977, no official release for that show or shows in the same year for a Dvd release?

Fan sources from Hyde Park will either be bootlegs (or copies of) so not great quality or the freely circulated officially filmed old bootlegged VHS or later DVD boots. None of these are likely to be better quality than the officially held copies.

Earls Court petty much the same, and that sufferers the previously much discussed piano vocal mic drop outs.

Songs from both those venues have appeared in quite good sound and picture quality so there is still hope of something if not the complete gig in each case. I'm hoping something from the Jazz/Crazy Tour 78 /79 gets released, plenty was recorded around that time.

Another classic gambit opening. Do you have a strategy VH or just wait for his move?
