Dear QZ folks,
Lee and I unfortunately need to continue to work on the book, now that it is in it's semi-final stages. Please accept and forgive our absence from steady responses to your daily talking topics on QZ. We feel it is much more important to perfect the book and get it out to you. When the book is available, there will be a whole new challenge regarding promotion of the book and book-tours. When we reach a steady-state and the book begins to sell (never mind the over 130 copies of the book with our signatures that will need to be mailed out immediately to all donors who have given over $49.99, which by the way, has made our book possible. We appreciate ALL that you guys have done. Please do NOT start a blog on our behalf! Feel free to start any blogs on your own. We will add a fourth edition of our own thread when we are able to do so and devote time to it.
We Love You All,
Thor and Lee
Katydyd, the link you asked for:

I have vague memory of the story you are referring to re: La Japonaise. Will keep in mind as I'm reading and will consult my "bible", Complete Works, tonight to see if it is in there. Will post on the book thread when/if I find something.
Don't know where to go anymore on here lol, so thanks for mentioning that Thor!! Am anxious to hear about your book process as every time you post something, I think you are implying your are done or close to, then you post something else and it seems far off. My obvious ignorance of the process has me in turns excited and disappointed!!
JB050....No, you are not the only one...I had never heard of "Yellow Breezes" either. I suspect there is a reason it remained a demo...add me to the Blasphemers List...not one of my favorite either! This is what I read about the song on Queenpedia.com (There are a few other demos that are mentioned below that I will have to check out as well)
"Recorded at Townhouse Studios, London, 9 March 1987, during sessions for Barcelona, but most likely not intended for that album. It's possible that Freddie was either recording demos for an upcoming Queen project or considering working on another solo album; whatever his plans, "Yellow Breezes", along with other tracks recorded at this time – Holding On, It's So You, and I Can't Dance / Keep Smilin' – wouldn't progress beyond the demo stage and remained unreleased until 2000."
Katydyd...I don't recall that story about Freddie while recording La Japonaise. Now I am curious.
Thor and Lee...We are having fun and keeping the party going while you are away. We will be here when you get back! :} Good luck on this next phase of your book journey!
Thank you Thor and Lee for taking time out of your busy schedules to address this concern. It was something that was heavy on my mind yesterday .I just felt it to be a a respect and moral issue not to proceed and start a thread in someone elses name thanks.
Yellow Breezes is one of the many rarities included in the huge TH Solo collection. To be honest, I literally understand it.
*** don't really NOT literally!!

Oops! Trigger happy! Sorry!!
I’m sorry Fredfie...what? There’s an echo in here...
Well shoot. I just succeeded in burying Thor's post by putting up a blank box. Actually I was trying to share his post here in one of those quote boxes but clearly I don't know how to do it. I'll just cut and paste:

I'm so sorry I'm inept at using the tools on this site, but I wanted to thank you Thor for posting this today. I'm sure you saw the flurry of posts yesterday and I'm glad you stepped in with an update. It sounds like you are incredibly busy now. I had no idea what the process for publishing involved but I'm grateful that you cared enough about your topic to put in the time and effort. A true labor of love. Your post also helps those who don't like to search through the posts that appear here because now they can simply watch the General Discussion topics on QZ to see when you have started the new thread. It sounds like it will be fairly far in the future, but I'm patient. I look forward to interacting with you guys again when you return.
Thanks again for all you do.
Amidds! :-D Cheeky bugger! LOL !!
Thanks Thor for updating us on the situation but just to confirm I didn't want to start a blog on your behalf, I was merely trying to come up with a way to please everyone. I am a bit of a people pleaser at times lol .
I'll look forward to your new blog as that means your book will be ready....yipee
Yellow breezes is an odd one but I like it
