Thank you very much for the link !
Like you I seem more interested when there’s pictures ( except when it’s an audio of a Freddie’s interview ahah) but I’ll try to listen and catch parts where he’s talking about queen !????
Thanks or the link Katydyd. I too have a hard time just listening so I only got about 10 min in before I realized I wasn’t listening anymore! So thank you Rainbow for the sifting! I can probably get back to it now lol.
JB, had never heard of the museum. Too bad it has to be so far. You would think there’d would be something in London!!! You know, like the statue. Oh wait, that’s not there either. Hmm....
Welcome maudtv!
Lol, my autocorrect tried to use maid to. Fredfie can do better :)
Hi maudTV and welcome to this thread!
Katydyd...Spike doesn't talk about Freddie for very long, but I think he only performed with Freddie for a couple of years from 1984-86. The bulk of his time with Queen has been without Freddie. The sections I cited are the main ones...but there might be some others during that long interview that I missed.
Yes I’ll try to listen though ... and you’re right he didn’t spent a lot of time with Freddie, because usually the keyboardist was more Morgan fisher
And ahah yes my autocorrect always uses maid too it annoys me ahah ;))
I just found this Rolling Stone interview with Spike that covers many of the same questions asked in the audio interview we have been talking about:

Welcome Maudtv!
Hi Everyone,
Yes, I am still alive. I would say that my knee is now working at 90% of complete function. Pain can be controlled with Ibuprofen. I am totally off of oxycodone and had no withdrawal symptoms (after 3 months of continuous
use) due to a carefully planned "tapering down" program.
It was a horrible experience August 21st until now.
Good news: I will have no problem walking to our future book signings...lol. BTW, no plans or schedules yet for these book tours.
Thank you all for your continued well wishes. I will be spending Christmas at my sister's house in New York from Dec. 18th thru Jan 1st.
Have a wonderful Christmas and Holiday season. God bless you all!
With Love
Thor
Thor I'm so glad your walking again hope you have a happy and blessed holiday.I know it was terrible but its behind you good things ahead.Happy holidays Chevy.
Thor I'm glad you had no withdraws off medication.I was on that specific med for 2 years and they just pulled me off it.I was miserable. It made me really sick.I take nothing but Ibuprofen now for the last year.I will never take that medication again.I forgot to add this to my first post.
Yeah...that is fantastic news, Thor! Hope you can get a plane seat with extra leg room in front of you. Your recovery is just in time to help out with the shoveling if you are lucky enough to get snow for Christmas...or maybe you can do some ice-skating at Rockefeller Center if you have time to go into The City. No jumps though. LOL
I’m glad for you if you’re knee’s finally working well! Have a lovely Christmas with your sister! :))
