hey Amidds the only book that was approved by Freddie was the official bio written by Jacky Gunn and Jim Jenkins whilst Freddie was alive. He read it himself early 1991. It is called ' as it began' but it is no longer in print. I have recently been able to buy this book from E Bay but i was very lucky with the price. Lots of sellers are asking stupid money for it.
I have really really enjoyed reading it even though it was published in 1992. I do have a soft spot for Jim Hutton so I was pleased to read that he was included into Freddies timeline and it confirmed how they soon became almost constant companions . Id stay away from lesley ann jones for sure but Jim Hutton and Peter Freestone's books are very good as is the David Evans book.

Jo and chevyman I admit to enjoying a little pot myself in my younger days . Haven't many of us done things when we were younger. I really don't regret anything i did.

oh and regarding David Wigg its confirmed by both Peter and Jim that Freddie was unhappy with what was printed following an interview in Ibiza in 1987 and it put a spanner in the works of their friendship. It get the impression Freddie didn't see him after this.
You will find a lot of david wigg articles are cut and pasted together so they are parts of different interviews. He has confirmed verbally that he guessed Freddie had aids when he interviewed him in 1987 so he didn't know beforehand even though he claims he knew.
At the end of the day he writes for a newspaper so that should speak volumes if you know what I mean lol :)

Doughnut,Thanks I didn't know about any other books released he had approved. As for the pot yes mam I have smoked fair share and a few other things I won't mention.Luckily I dont have a addictive personality to o along with it I can take or leave it.So I left it but it was fun while I was doing it.David Wigg is a bit strange girl but aren't we all.I"m not convinced he was playing with a full deck of cards anyway.I won't even repeat some of the vile things he said on this thread.Shit does happen but it didn't happen in his presense.

Doughnut, I left the best for last Lesliann Jones that witch well she blocked me but it won't stop me from telling everyone what I think of her.I think she turned everyone's life associated with Freddie into a lie not one thing other than his name was true. She is a great story teller her and poor Barbara made a good team.I think someone should write a book about her and print a bunch of lies about her and her associates and friends and let her see how it feels.Never mind she would just write another book about her experience with that experience and make a bunch of money right.Long story short I told her she was full of shit about Barbara Valentine and she blocked me .

Just saw Thor's update on the GoFundMe page. Great news! I'm happy to see Thor and Lee so excited!!

Doughnut-thanks for the info. Nice to know my memory isn’t getting that bad yet ;).

I too have a soft spot for Jim Hutton! I saw a blog recently from someone who had befriended him just prior to his passing. She described him as appearing to still be sad but trying to enjoy time with his family. Kinda proof that he was truly in love.

Hi Thor and Lee... I know there is a lot of work to do and big decisions to make to get this book published, but I truly hope you are enjoying the process as well. Glad things are moving along. Looking forward to more updates.

Jo T. Wow...sounds like you will have a GREAT view from your seats. I'm trying to decide which of my Queen or Freddie shirts to wear to the show!

Recreational marijuana is now legal in Canada. Just sayin’. Visiting there in a week! But not for this reason!!!

This does not mean that buying or smoking marijuana on the street is legal. There is a lot of government regulation that applies.

Never, never cross the border from Canada to the US with even a microscopic speck of marijuana in your car. No matter what state you’re crossing into federal law applies. Sniffer dogs can smell marijuana that a person can’t see.

I have not trusted David Wigg completely for a long time. Some of the things he says don’t ring true. Glad I’m not the only one who thinks this. I didn’t know about the 1987 stuff.

Hi JoT, remember you told me about hearing something about Gaetan Dugas on the news? I’ve been listening to Richard McKay’s book about GD. Very interesting stuff. There is a tiny bit of footage of GD on YouTube from AIDS Vancouver in ‘83.

And since we’re doing confessions about our misspent youth, I did once attend a Burning Spear Concert and just about everyone including me was smoking MJ. Shows you how much the police in Toronto cared about it in those days—they had to know.

Galileo,Believe it or not medical pot is legal in Oklahoma of course you have to burn your clothes when you leave the dispensary.I dont know who started this discussion what the hell you guys can blame it on me I'm always in trouble anyway.I regret nothing I have done it was fun at the time.I will have to say mj was my fav.David Wigg and what he claims happened creeps me out okay.I would never invite him into my bedroom for a front row seat or anything else he totally made that up.

Medical pot has been legal in Canada also for some time. The rules for medical and recreational are completely different. Different stores, different products, different amount you’re allowed to buy, etc.

I know medical is legal in a bunch of states but I guess Oklahoma is a bit surprising as it’s more conservative. And “medical” does not mean the same thing in each state. Meaning, the conditions for which you’re allowed a prescription.

Galileo, yeah it surprised me too ! I'm patiently waiting for the right for recreational that will never probably happen. One of my conditions allows medical but I choose not to open that past or can of worms. We haven't been approved long for medical though.Thats huge accomplishment for us .There are two things to do in Oklahoma as a youth that's go mud bogging drink beer and smoke weed and there you have it folks.oh then go wash the mud off your car and do it all over again.
