You and NotQuiteAShilling both stated it best about the New York Daughters being "left out" - again. Lee and Thor, you can use it to your book's advantage. What's that saying about making lemonade out of lemons? Your book shall be revealing the previously "untold stories" in detail of Freddie's NY days, where he became comfortable in his own skin and found kindred spirits in the NY Daughters. It'll offer a fresh viewpoint for readers.

Sigh. Chevy, you asked for my opinion, but I'm out of this discussion. I know Freddie was gay and I've never disputed that. I simply don't think that was the point or focus of this documentary. I'm not going to participate in what is turning into an ugly debate because I've seen too many lovely people silenced on this thread around this topic. They chose to move on rather than continue to participate. I still miss their voices and I I don't want to be a part of making anyone feel uncomfortable for expressing their opinions. I do remain interested in your source over the rift with David Wigg. I know I either read about it, or heard it in an interview, but have been unable to find the information myself after some searching on Google and through my own files last night. It's not for the purpose of argument, only curiosity on my part.

I do want to say yet again that both Thor and Lee know how excited I am about this book and how supportive I've been from the beginning. That remains the same. I don't think the NYC period was left out of this documentary for any other reason then that it wasn't the point of the piece. I'm excited to learn about that period of Freddie's life and to see new pictures and I know many are eagerly anticipating this book being published. Decades after Freddie's death and we get something new and fresh? Incredible!!!

I agree discussion off the board moving on the topic is a touchy subject matter for me.I think this isn't the time to discuss any of this best to look forward to the future have a good one.

I completely agree about the book. Was thinking the same. That Lee and Thor are able to provide new perspective, insights and memories. Really amazing.

JB,I agree with you about the book that's what I meant about looking towards the future it is exciting.I really bet it is to ther ones working on it especially the closer they are to completion to it.Memories are a wonderful thing to have you might not recall them exactly as they happened but as you start to think about them they start to come together just the way they really happened.

Katy the only issue I know off regarding David Wigg is the disappointment Peter and jim said Freddie felt over the interview and what was printed . This ended their friendship by all accounts. You will not the last interview was with Rudi . Forms David fails to .mention this and continues to talk about Freddie and aids as if he was part of Freddie 's chosen circle when he c!early wasnt. We need to remember he is a journalist.

I think what Chevy is referring to is in Lesley Ann Jones book. David claims whilst in munich he visited Freddie who was in bed with Barbara and Freddie invited David into a threesome. I'd like to think Freddie had better taste lol .

Queen production had nothing to do with the recent UK documentary and I doubt they would entertain anything like it . Official documentaries tend to be produced by Jim beach and normal!y involve the band. The last official doc was the queen and Adam Lambert one .
New York years are probably left out as Thor and lee aren't approached so they have no information about this time. My thoughts anyway.
I've no idea why they got Cleo involved expect she was close to Kenny Everett. She is the one who wrote a book and started the princess Diana story which Peter confirmed isn't true.

JB,It makes me thankful we have them here to tell those stories without them we wouldn't have everything.He was a man with a serious business side and I'm excited to see the guy behind everything the real him.At least this is new and fresh not just the same stuff over and over.I did enjoy seeing what everybody looked like on the documentary.They all look really well .I hope I look that well at that age.

Doughnut,Yes that interview he gave someone I don't remember who i was to busy watching his little nasty self talk and laugh about it.I was thinking the whole time noway .Barbara would crush that man with one breast.He definitely would be the guy at the strip club on pervert row.It made me wanna hit a vomit button.He declined the offer and had a cup of tea instead.Now if a major rock star invited you in for some evening activities would you go have a cup a tea I dont think so.Thanks girl for straightening that one out.It was a complete lie.
