I'd give you my address for a stop-over but it would probably be too incomprehensible! You might end up on the dark side of the moon following my directions ! :-D

Sniffs U occasionally known as Amidds ! P.S. I love your business protocol of prioritising our Freddie obsession before getting down to work! Yeah, let the buggers wait! Our service is worth the wait! We may not be accurate, but we "Garintee" to make you laugh!
P.S. Does anyone else's predictive text change Sniffs to Sniffs U ? Or is my Kindle hinky?

Damnit, Damnit, Damnit! It still "corrected" Amidds to Sniffs! I'm throwing this flipping Kindle in the recycle bin and training a carrier pigeon! :-#

Oh my gosh Freddie...ever hear the expression “I laughed so hard a tear ran down my leg”? Well, dear, at my age, that’s gonna happen if you keep this up! Too funny! Say something else lol.....

Quick update:
Bleeding from my right knee is down to just a very small amount. Three more weeks left of self-administered, around the clock IV antibiotics.
Physical therapy finally starts next week. Pain has decreased to about half of what it was the last two weeks. I see my surgeon tomorrow
and the Infectious Disease MD on Thursday to determine if I can stop the antibiotics and maybe change to just oral antibiotics.
Lee has been an absolute doll and is doing most of the work on our book that I can not handle until I can spend more time "sitting" at the
computer. Now, I can only handle about 2 half-hour periods per day.
I am hoping to make a work visit with Lee by the end of the month!
Thank you all for keeping up the thread...I have been following!
Love ya,
Thor[/QUOTE]
Thanks for the update Glad to hear that that things are finally improving

LOL@ my mate Sniffs U! (Amidds) No I never heard that saying before!
I rd almost worth developing stress incontinence to use that line! Love it!! <3
Here's a little Saturday snippet. You've likely all seen the first one, but the second shorter one was new to me, and we actually get to see inside Freddie's old bedroom in Gladstone Avenue!!
Hi Thor, sorry to hear about your knee but am glad it seems to be healing, albeit rather slowly. It's best to stay off of it and let nature take its course. Main thing is that you have excellent doctors. Take care until we see you again. :)
Hope everyone has a great weekend! xo

Freddie darling, I just love the look kash on her face you can tell she is truly proud and happy for her brothers accomplishments. She said in a interview when he came home from boarding school he used to help her with her homework. So I guess even though they had so much time apart they were very close. Thanks for Sharing.

Hi Chevyman, hope you're doing well. Just finished watching the Montreaux Rock Festival again and laughing to myself how Freddie doesn't care that he supposed to be lip syncing. Looks like he's having a great time performing anyway and giving the audience an up close and personal show by shaking their hands and literally being an arm's length away from them. He always gives it his best and looks so strong and healthy in 1986, which is kind of sad knowing that in just a few years later, he would pass. :( Have you seen it? Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55S1P8Yzolk The quality of the video is excellent! We may have had a chat here on QZ on this a couple months ago.
Another video that I enjoyed earlier this week was Live at the Bowl at Milton Keynes 1982 during their Hot Space tour. In the 80s, the quality became much better as the technology advanced. I wish Queen's 70s concerts were as good quality as theirs in the 80s. Freddie, as always, was on fire as were Brian, John and Roger. Don't you love the way Freddie interacts with the audience? One of his famous quotes, "Now most of you know that we got some new sounds out in the last week and for what's it's worth, we're gonna do a few songs in the funk, black category, whatever you call it. That doesn't mean we've lost that rock and roll feel. I mean, it's only a bloody record. People get so excited about these things." So Freddie. Here's the link to this gem: http://youtu.be/AT0C3U21PYc
What is everyone up to this weekend? Well, that's it for now. Have a nice day! :)

FreddieDarling, thanks for the links to the unveiling. It was nice to hear Brian's endearing memories of Freddie from the early days.

HelloD,70's Freddie is my favorite the quality your right is terrible.I can deal with it though he was so beautiful back then he looked like an angel on stage.I loved his costumes too!I liked him with his long hair it made him look just like a Persian prince didn't he.I hate I was so young then I couldn't remember any of those songs but we can certainly enjoy them now girl.I kinda go back to a interview he gave and I guess he was asked what it would be like to be 70 and he said something like he would never make old bones. He also said it would be boring to be that old.I dont think that comment coming from him is sad he lived for today from what I noticed. He enjoyed his life and made people happy that's what it's all about. If we all could take a lesson that might be a good one.Good to hear from you.

Chevy, I'm more partial to 70s Freddie too and LOVE his long hair (except that mullet style!) and glam costumes esp in the early years. I also love him in the 80s as well. Yes, he was so beautiful!! I don't remember any of their early songs from back then as I was too young too. I liked David Cassidy and watched the Partridge Family every Friday night back then. LOL We are the Champions, We will Rock You and Another One Bites the Dust were probably the ones being the most popular and played on the radio and events as I got older.
I agree that Freddie lived his life to the fullest and for the 45 years he was on earth, he made the most of it and made millions and millions of people happy. Many people could live longer but have an empty life. Our lives are like dash on a line and what we make of that dash is what really counts. You're right, Freddie was a prime example of enjoying his life and how we all can aspire to be. Have a good one too! :)

With thanks to Amidds who mentioned this documentary, "We Thank You All" , over on the QZ book thread.
I had seen it before, but it's been a couple of years and it was lovely to see it again with the added knowledge I have now. The people interviewed talk about the Freddie who was full of laughter and joy and it's a pleasure to watch and listen. In addition, the rest of the band is also discussed in a more intimate way. I like learning about them behind the scenes. It's well worth the time it takes to watch.
