When Freddie joined the band, he had no credibility, when they recorded their first album as a new band the name Queen meant nothing and had no credibility. . ,
They built there own platform and became huge. Lambert is way past the point of being unknown and having no credibility, as a live performer touring with and fronting Queen he has 7 years expereance. . . And is doing a great job for the people who want to see Queen performing. Back in the 70's 7 years of touring put the band around 78/79. The Jazz tour. You compare apples with oranges you stupid cunt. Freddie was always a one off and credible because he earned his laurels by working hard as a creative person being a songwirter and singer. Lametrud has a flop solo career behind him. His exposure thru QAL leads to nothing as pple wanna see Maylor and see Lamebutt as necessary evil. Freddie never ACTED like this huge rockstar he WAS a huge Rock star. LameAss is a dance artist who can screech hih notes but has an annoying power and emotionless voice. If that's the case, why didn't Mr Bad Guy out sell every Queen album. In fact why wasn't it a better album than anything Queen ever produced.
Why didn't Freddie's solo career sing Queen into oblivion. Why didn't Freddie undertake a bigger tour than Queen ever did. Why was Mr Bad Guy fall of ill advised attempts to musically sound like Brian, John and Roger.
The truth is Freddie wasn't "the band" just like any one member wasn't the band.
Freddie didn't write all the songs, Freddie didn't invent the Queen sound, that was present in some Smile recordings. Zandra Rhodes came up with the iconic 70's look and image as much if not more than Freddie.
Freddie was. . . "the lighting" it was Rioger who had more input about lighting, he still does.
If Freddie was Queen why did he put up with the other three wanting to argue their corner over recording ps and live performance. After all according to you Freddie could have done it all him self.

Freddie was awesome, but without any one of the four, it just wasn't Queen. Freddie going solo was not a success, nor were the others. Somehow it was the synergy of all of them. The other three wrote many classic Queen songs. My favs are all written by Brian who is also a very skilled songwriter and none of the music would have sounded the same without that magical guitar. So, NO, Queen is not just Freddie!! It is all four of them working together and making amazing music. They ran things through each other and I bet a lot of Freddie's music would not have sounded the same w/o input from the other three. None of them were solo artists, they all made it happen together. I imagine Brian and Roger are sick of hearing this crap again and again and again.
