Regarding a possible Miracle boxset i am a bit affraid that we maybe are getting a lot of stuff which we already have. Remember, over the past 10 like years we get a huge amount of Miracle bonus stuff like a lot of demo's plus the one that Roger gave us in 2011 with the deluxe edition. And of course a lot of video footage as well, among them the Miracle interviews, making offs, the rough mixes. We already have so much so there is a chance that they include some stuff we already have. Hopefully someone at Queen camp knows what have leaked over the years. I for one like to see a HD version of The Miracle Express docu, the rough mixes updates and more. I am curious with what they come up with because a live show is of course a no go.[/QUOTE]
After many years of Queen fanatism there's a huge risk of becoming cynical and so apology for what I am about to write (it may be quite cynical).
Maybe they choose The Miracle for a box set because they can sell us officially what we already have "unofficially" ??
They've done this before: the 100 best bootlegs were offered online, not because they wanted to offer us something new (they should have chosen unheard soundboard recordings of concerts then) but because they wanted to sell us officially what could already be owned unofficially.
The will to offer new and unheard stuff is very close to ZERO at Queen Productions so I guess this cynical view could very well be the realistic view...

Brian "Jim, is that you?"
Jim "Yes"
B "This Miracle Box Set; you're ok with it, right?"
J "Yes - fans have been crying out for this kind of thing. You owe it to them to provide as much rare, unreleased material as possible, given that the set lists you're performing are so fucking dreadful."
B "Really? I thought they gave a real insight in to what the band was all about all these years; old and new alike (turns away from the phone) Isn't that right Kerry?"
Kerry "You fucking idiot Brian; I'm not supposed to be here when you call Beachy Boy, remember?".
B "Oh, shit, yeah. Wipe that shit of your chin......."
J "Are you there Brian?"
B "Yep. As I was saying, this Miracle Box. I've found something."
J "What's that Brian?"
B "Well, cosmically, it's a song that we tried in the studio but could never get quite right. Freddie was a huge fan of it and it really embodies him and the zest for life he had. I think, if put out in the right way, it could REALLY take over Bohemian Rhapsody as the song that most people would identify the band through."
J "Interesting."
B "We started it off in 1978."
J "Really? Did Fred write it?"
B "Too right he did. (turns away from the phone) Kerry - leave it alone; I can't again. 3 fucking times already this morning.........and unless you wash your face, you're not getting any more. Sorry Jim, this fucking cat won't leave me alone."
J "Cat? I thought you has Miss Ellis in there again you dirty old dog."
B "You know? Bugger."
J "OK - this song. You know what?"
B "What?"
J "I knew this was coming. Let me guess what it is."
B "You've got no chance mate. No one will see this coming at all; something to breathe life in to the legacy and make Freddie not boring."
J "Don't Stop Me Now with long Lost Guitars and 1989 Extended, Multi-Layerd Guitar Break?"
B "Bollocks. Right, Kerry, strap yourself in girl, you're in trouble now..........."

Well kinda true and you only can get cynical when you look at how Maylor destroyed their reputation the last 20 years

It's hard to believe that even you yourself could possibly believe that.
No, you did not. You made yourself look like an ass, which is par for the course for you, nothing more.

I'm not going to pursue it, but I could spare the 30-or-so seconds it took to write that. Call it "being charitable". And believe me, considering runner_70s track record, I was being *very* charitable. I have other words for him, but they might cause serious psychological harm to any hardened longshoremen who might read this topic, so I'll refrain from writing them down in the interest of public health.

Recently I realized that I really like the song Scandal. Despite the fact that the author is not Freddie, but personally he conveyed so much feeling, passion and anger. It is felt.
