Not the right forum but I don;t care: this one get's more views than any of the others.

Saddened to say that John died this morning.
I don't know the details, but he was a good soul and good friend over many years, even though we never found the time to meet in person.

He was here from the beginning of QueenZone, contributing to the knowledge we know today and the source of so many gems, not least amongst them the Reaction acetates, the 1984 recordings, the Ibex live recordng and many many others.

His warmth and humour will be missed by many around the world who knew him.

God Bless you John.

This is so sad indeed. We never met in person but we spoke countless times online (the last one being mere days ago) and we had loads of marvellous chats (and a couple of heated arguments as well). He was so clever, so generous, such a nice bloke.

Our last conversation was about something we both loved endlessly: football. I had no idea it would be our last. I'm shocked and saddened by those news, but I can't even begin to imagine what it's like to those who were far closer to him.

Say it's not true...
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

Very sad news indeed.

I, amongst so many others, benefited hugely from his generosity and knowledge and on the (very) few occasions I communicated with him found him to be a genuinely nice bloke.

It is truly sad to hear this. The guy had invaluable and vast knowledge, I often went back to his "Ultimate" posts to learn more about the sessions and Queen's history. He represented a culture and manners which is hardly ever seen here on this forum. He will be missed.

Rest in peace John

Sounds like a very valuable, spirited kind Queen enthusiast. Sorry to hear about that. I DO recall a John S Stuart from times past on the forum when it may have self moderated better.

Prayers to his family and friends, So much can change in a day.

Damn, I can't believe it. Easily the most cultured person we used to have around here, and possibly the greatest Queen collector ever and the source of so many jewels we got to listen to over the years. I really appreciated my conversations with him back in the day.

He will be sorely missed. RIP John.

When they stop buying our records then I`ll just say goodbye, and do something else, become a strip artist or something (Freddie Mercury)
