Sorry to hear this. Hope it was peaceful.

I only had a few interactions, but they always seemed to be underscored with a respect for both the music and his fellow fans.

R.I.P. John Stuart. My only interaction with John came in the mid 1990's. Completely out of the blue, as we had never had any contact before, nor did I know who he was at the time, he had acquired my address as a fellow Queen collector and sent me a 90 min tape filled with various Queen rarities. Most I had, but there were a couple I didn't and some were in better quality than I already owned.

It was just his way of showing that he was a serious collector and in search of more. This tape was just a taste of what he had, he wrote. I don't think I had anything that he didn't at the time and wrote him back to thank him for the tape. For whatever reason, we didn't keep in touch, but I still recall that welcome gesture. I still have the tape. Good journey, John.

Sad indeed, gone too soon it would seem, a massive part of the Queen collecting community

So sad. RIP John. He was a very generous person.

Once he wanted to pass an old Bruce Lee movie DVD to me but he actually mistook me for another QZ member who was the actual person that he intended to give to. I redirected him of course to the correct person.

A wonderfully generous human being; is - and will continue to be - missed.

There are reasons why I have been coming here for almost twenty years. I remember JSS very well and I am sad to hear of his passing.

Very sad news indeed.

Always fascinated by his posts, his extensive knowledge and love for Queen. Brought so much to this forum and will be sorely missed.

R.I.P Mr. John. S. Stuart, hope you are partying with Freddie.

I too also enjoyed reading John's posts.Never met him in real life, although I do think I would have enjoyed his company. Condolences to his family and friends.

Sooo, does this mean that a bunch of QUEEN stuff is lost to the dumpster? And I am not just asking about personal stuff he had of product but actual recordings, film, and information? Why would someone if not from QUEEN Productions then from the fan community not have gotten whatever from him before something like this happened? Does anyone know what he had that would be lost now?

...and how and why does anyone here know of well being or lack there of?
