Bowie - Same as Queen, pick an album and I've got a story about why its the best one

[/QUOTE]

Sooo...."Tonight", why is it Bowie's best? Extra credit if you can defend his cover of "God Only Knows".

I was waiting for that! :D
On a personal level I could call it MY best if I tune into the factors surrounding it (after all that's what this list is about). Very happy memories listening to it a couple of years after it came out on a rainy sunday where for that 40 minutes it became my new best friend. I'd happily go back to that room on that day and stay there with only Tonight for company. At that time it's worth noting there were only about 3 Bowie albums available in the shops everything else was out of print.

Extra credit: Hadn't heard the original God Only Knows at that point. I liked the sentiment. And his voice tested out my woofers. And my young patience.

Beautiful, all of it.

VII is definitely the best Chicago album.

^unless you meant the one off, Bruce, Dunway and Smith made under the moniker.

No, the original 1973 release.
You should also check out the SQ Quad mix, it's something else and an entirely different beast.

Signals by Rush
One More Light by Linkin Park
Black Holes And Revelations by Muse
Toxicity by System of a Down
Concert in Central Park by Simon & Garfunkel
Excitable Boy by Warren Zevon

Its amazing how a simple 'Non Queen album' thread results in people posting their twenty million favorite non Queen albums. Stop showing off about your crap music taste and answer the question.

^ haha. True dat.

Point made here and in going on with lists is that
1) it's almost impossible for someone who loves music to love ONE album the most
2) the lists lead to some interesting things and potentially discussions.

To answer the question DIRECTLY. ...

NO. I CANNOT LIST ONE FAVORITE ALBUM (let alone a non Queen album...heck, Queen might not scrape the top ten! ).

Cannot choose. It would fracture my mind. Impossible

One does not simply pick a favourite album

My favourite lately has been Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy. Certainly my favourite ending of an album (We All Fall In Love Sometimes & Curtains).
