Mirage is the title of Fleetwood Mac's album with Gypsy. A great song but not my favourite album by them. It's probably my least favourite of the 75-87 period.
like the Lepps choice.
one thing i always thought about that album though - good as the songs are, the sound quality was a little "thin".
wonder if that was to do with squeezing 60+ mins onto two sides of vinyl?
The first two LPs are excellent, Pyro is still very good - as is Hysteria. i think by the time they broke into the US market their sound started to dilute a little.
Priest - great shout.
Purple - agreed, but would also include, In Rock (epic LP) and Burn.

Time Takes Time by Ringo Starr and A Single Man by Elton John are two that come to mind

yep, nice choice : Elton. I like "The Fox"
Ringo and George produced consistently good solo stuff, think this stems from being released from the confines of "one composition per LP" for 8 years.
Ringo's "Ringo", Goodnight Vienna" and Ringo Rama" are really good.
