The Works or A Kind of Magic? Which one is better album?

Which one is better album? Opinions??

Define 'better'

Works as it is a return to form. Sure it is pretty predictable and safe but there are great songs on it: Hard Life/Gaga/Break Free are classics , I also love Keep passing the open windows and Machines is awesome as well.
Not a bad song on it except Man On The prowl maybe which is too predictable as CLTCL part 2.

Magic was too poppy for me. Magic (the song) was way better in the Highlander version, I hate "Pain is so close" and "Don't lose your head".

"Princes" is awesome but all in all it is way weaker than Works imo

Which one do you prefer? Which album has better songs? Etc

"Deeper" tracks I suppose. No sappy throwaway pop stuff. Magc had some of the latter. AS had the Miracle.

As an album I rather The Works but there are more songs that I love on A Kind Of Magic.

Works is very underrated for me

If they were the dwarfs from Snow White, The Works would be Happy and AKOM would be Dopey. If they were days of the week, The Works would be Friday and AKOM Tue or Wed. If they were months, The Works would be April and AKOM November.

I hope that's clarified the situation for you.

Better is hard to quantify. I like both albums a lot for different reasons. For me, AKOM wins because of me liking the overall atmosphere of it more. Cant really objectively explain it but I do love it a lot. A bit more than The Works even though I know and can see how it might be better than AKOM. Am one of those who love DLYH and really like PISCTP and OYOL.

The Works easy winner. The only good tunes on AKOM are OV, POTU, GTP. The rest are poor including hits AKOM, WTLF or FWBF. PISCTP is one of their worse songs ever.

id say the works. i skip alot of a kind of magic.

The duds like pain is so close are the ones i suprise my wife with who is a "greatest hits" fan, and shes normally like "whats this crap"
