I just don't get on the WWTLF. Never have. The QAL live versions are great (it really suits his voice) but on record it's just a big void at the start of side 2. Perhaps might be less forgiving if it was further down the tracklist. I'm sure this came up a couple of months ago.

So neither album is my favorite of Queen, but the Works tips the scale over AKOM.

While I agree that WWTLF is a great track, I still don't think it's any better than Radio GA GA. In fact, I think RGG is the better song all around.

I like both albums, The Works is stronger overall, but does contain Man On the Prowl, which I consider to be the worst thing they ever committed to tape, even worse than Delilah.
I see the track AKOM getting some serious hate in this thread which surprises me. An excellent pop song, Admittedly the live version is way better. Unbelievable how much heavier it was played live. Loved it.
AKOM album is bitty, but still enjoyable, it just doesn't flow as a cohesive whole.
In the book that accompanies the coloured vinyl reissues of the complete collection, the section about AKOM has a picture that shows One Vision and Princes were originally swapped over. I think that works better.

Interesting sequencing info.... i can't think of it any other way.
However thinking of POTU i know it's as strong a musical take as committed to any album they'd done. It ranks up there with DOTL, and prophets song. .. It trumps most of their other dark songs,
But i truly dislike the middle bit. It's way too awkward.

It's cringey and embarrassing run on stuff. I prefer the leaked version which was merely helicopter. THE whole "fighting and Freee-eee! Got your world in my hands! *I'M HERE FOR YOUR LOVE* (whaaaaat?!) And I'll make my stand!"
None of that shit makes any sense. Even if there were a karaoke track for it,...I'd likely feel ludicrous singing any of that stuff in the middle

Who Wants To Live Forever and A Kind Of Magic are songs which I always put on lists of my favourite Queen songs. Friends Will Be Friends and One vision I also like.
But Innuendo and The Miracle still are my favourite albums.
