Roger said that Innuendo was "sort of a continuation of The Miracle but I (Roger) think it's a lot little less poppy and it's richer and has more depth."

What are your thoughts on this and which album do you prefer?

BTW, great insight and interviews and behind the scene footage on this video.

For me are the songs The miracle, Was it all worth it and Scandal very good songs, especially on vocals and harmonies. The miracle song is my absolute favourite.

But in total , I think that Innuendo is a better album. I really hope the miracle box will have a refreshed recording techniques plus, so it sounds more clearer and rock, just like what they did the techniques they have used with mr bad guy special edition.

But remember, Innnuendo has a special status as it Queens last album which has been recorded with Freddie on their side.

Both albums have unfortunately always been low down on my favourite Queen albums list, I rather The Works and A Kind Of Magic. But, there are more songs I love on The Miracle than Innuendo and for that reason I'd have to go with The Miracle.

Agreed.
This place used to be great, but now it is an absolute joke. For serious Queen discussion, please visit http://www.queenforum.net

No contest for me, Innuendo is far better. Stronger songs with more depth in sound and lyrics.
Love is still the answer, take my hand...

Innuendo. This album along with Queen II and A Day At The Races makes my top 3 Queen albums.

However I really recommend to listen The Miracle, Innuendo and Made in heaven. This three albums stick together lmand give a very beautiful music experience, much different than individually.

Innuendo of course!!

I've never seemed to enjoy listening to Innuendo despite the significance of it. I really wish I did though because it is among one of Queen's strongest in terms of the effort and quality put in to producing it.

I seem to love Made In Heaven, there's not a bad track on that album and I always enjoy listening to each song.

I don't do MIH. That other thread about the source of samples used really shows it's such a Frankenstein's monster. Distractingly so. No emotional attachment at all for me. Unlike The Miracle. I think we do threads about these 2 every couple of weeks so won't do my Innuendo - winter, Miracle - Summer analogy again.

Which is better? Redundant question until a true definition of 'better' is devised.

Which do you prefer? Depends on mood/headspace/what you have been listening to. Could change every minute.

Sometimes it is one, sometimes it is the other.

We are asked what we prefer, not what is better :P.

I just had a flick through MIH. It is IMO the worse Queen record.

Innuendo for sure. There is a large amount of pretty great songs on it. The Miracle was fun and it's still a good album with a fresh, upbeat sound, but if you compare the best cuts from The Miracle with the best cuts from Innuendo, the latter wins hands down. MIH is fine too, on a similar level to The Miracle in my opinion. I don't care about it being a Frankenstein work, it sounds strangely cohesive and thematically, it seems to supplement The Miracle and Innuendo. All three are well-produced.

I'm gonna do i this way. Out of a possible ten points.

The Miracle
1. "Party" 2
2. "Khashoggi's Ship" 2
3. "The Miracle" 5
4. "I Want It All" 6
5. "The Invisible Man" 5
6. "Breakthru" 4
7. "Rain Must Fall" 1
8. "Scandal" 5
9. "My Baby Does Me" 2
10. "Was It All Worth It" 6
=38 or 3.8 out of ten.

Innuendo
1. "Innuendo" 8
2. "I'm Going Slightly Mad" 8
3. "Headlong" 4
4. "I Can't Live with You" 7
5. "Don't Try So Hard" 8
6. "Ride the Wild Wind" 7
7. "All God's People" 7
8. "These Are the Days of Our Lives" 8
9. "Delilah" 3
10. "The Hitman" 1
11. "Bijou" 7
12. "The Show Must Go On" 7
75=6.25

Innuendo is a solid 7 out of 10, even though it adds up to a 6.25. I'll knock The Miracle up to a 3.8110000078.
So Innuendo appeals to me more.

Shucks, I missed your Innuendo Winter, Miracle Summer analogy. LOL I like Queen’s older albums/songs better and interchange these latter two. I’m sure there’s a big difference between the two to many. Most people on this thread seem to prefer Innuendo and think it’s a better album. I like some songs on each but not as much as the older stuff.
