I'm gonna do i this way. Out of a possible ten points.

The Miracle
1. "Party" 2
2. "Khashoggi's Ship" 2
3. "The Miracle" 5
4. "I Want It All" 6
5. "The Invisible Man" 5
6. "Breakthru" 4
7. "Rain Must Fall" 1
8. "Scandal" 5
9. "My Baby Does Me" 2
10. "Was It All Worth It" 6
=38 or 3.8 out of ten.

Innuendo
1. "Innuendo" 8
2. "I'm Going Slightly Mad" 8
3. "Headlong" 4
4. "I Can't Live with You" 7
5. "Don't Try So Hard" 8
6. "Ride the Wild Wind" 7
7. "All God's People" 7
8. "These Are the Days of Our Lives" 8
9. "Delilah" 3
10. "The Hitman" 1
11. "Bijou" 7
12. "The Show Must Go On" 7
75=6.25

Innuendo is a solid 7 out of 10, even though it adds up to a 6.25. I'll knock The Miracle up to a 3.8110000078.
So Innuendo appeals to me more.
I don't do MIH. That other thread about the source of samples used really shows it's such a Frankenstein's monster. Distractingly so. No emotional attachment at all for me. Unlike The Miracle. I think we do threads about these 2 every couple of weeks so won't do my Innuendo - winter, Miracle - Summer analogy again.
I'm sure this will devestate you, but I strongly disagree on MiH.

However, I do agree with your weather spring analogy.

Deciding? A favorite?

I'm having a hard time

I'm walking a fine line between hope and despair. ....you may think that i don't care. ...

Wait wait wait. Hands down the greater work is INNUENDO. ..but i get the analogy hinted above. They have completely different timbre and spirit.

Someone might like the upbeat cheese that's half of the miracle and others will revel in a band returning to more than platitudes

Innuendo.

I love the songs on both albums, but The Miracle was missing something. I think My Baby Does Me should have been replaced with a heavy, heartbreaking power balled (Too Much Love Will Kill You), and a different order of the track listing.

Party, Khashoggi’s Ship, Rain Must Fall, and My Baby Does Me. That’s half an album’s worth of non-serious tracks. They either need to move me, groove me, relate to me, or rock me.

I think My Life Has Been Saved should have been on the album, as well. Freddie said he thought the album needed a breather, but there were plenty of breathers. One of the only things I disagree with Freddie about.

When The Miracle came out I thought it was their best album since The Game.

When Innuendo came out I thought it was their best album since The Game.

I guess that means I prefer Innuendo. The Miracle hasn't aged that well, tbh.

The Miracle and Innuendo.

I like them both.

The Miracle is better than the two albums before it. But I prefer Inuendo to The Miracle.

If you took the best tracks from both albums, you could make one strong album, but neither are 'great' because the songs are mostly good not great, and there's too much filler.

Innuendo
The Miracle
I Want It All
The Invisible Man
Breakthru
Was It All Worth It*
I Can't Live with You
Scandal
Don't Try So Hard
All God's People
These Are the Days of Our Lives*
Bijou
The Show Must Go On*

* 3 potential tracks that could end this imaginary album

It doesn't bother me in the least. Made In Heaven is still one of my favourite albums of all time.

Zeppelin's Physical Graffiti is a similar example, stemming from recording sessions in 4 different years. Side 3 in particular transitions from one year to another with each passing track, and it still flows perfectly.

That knowledge enhances the experience for me, if anything.

Yeah, I'm serious. It reminded me of Spinal Tap from the very first time I heard it. Always felt the lyrics were so bad that even though they must have been attempting to be funny, they failed even at that. The riff, the lyrics = 1.
