Is there any confirmation for this one for Jazz:
Side A:
Dead On Time
Bicycle Race
Fat Bottomed Girls
Don't Stop Me Now
Let Me Entertain You
Side B:
Mustapha
Don't Say No (early working title for If You Can't Beat Them?)
Jealousy
Dreamers Ball
Fun it
Leaving Home Ain't Easy
More Of That Jazz
I've never seen those photos before, thanks for sharing cmi.

Don't Say No appears to be a working title for In Only 7 Days.

Just a question: these photos were taken in Montreux at the Queen experience?
I wonder this because I seem to have seen them there. also I see in the background some tiles that seem to me like the scrabble displayed in the window where there are also their instruments.
Thanks

Interesting to see the phases the track listing went through. Looks like they shifted it around because they realized most of the strongest songs were on side 1.

...which is typical of most rock albums: stack side one with the best stuff,

Hmmm, it's not like "Don't Say No" evokes anything from IOSD. Unknown song?

John may have had something else in mind lyrically at first. Then the song evolved and the working title no longer reflected the song's meaning. Remember, AOBTD started as a song about cowboys.

Jazz's tracklisting has always dissatisfied me. The length of the sides are really unequal for starters and the simple fact that Fat Bottomed Girls and Bicycle Race aren't next to each other. Some of those are better but incomplete. Even if you just swapped If You Can't Beat Them with In Only Seven Days and Leaving Home Ain't Easy then it would only be a few seconds difference between the sides.

Sorry but who really cares if the sides of the LP are equal?

In the tape days you'd've cared a lot if the sides were unequal. Which is why with tape some tracks might get shifted to the other side.

1) It just shows that you care more about the theme or the ordering of the songs. There seems to be no correlation in the song order compared to earlier albums.
2) The fact that this album was longer than 44 minutes means that if you go more than 22 minutes over a side you lose quality so having one side 20:47 and the other 23:53 means that the quality will be better on the shorter one.
3) When the difference between two sides is more than two and a half minutes (in this case it's more than three minutes), it makes it look like they could've had another song on the album especially when there are several short songs on the album).
Or it might just be me...
