Ah yes, Long Beach too !

That's four west coast shows to pick from. A Mike Millard tape from December 1977 is probably the best Queen tape one could imagine at this point.

Time shall tell.

I just hope it's a show when all four members do a great job (e.g. no bad vocals or mistakes), we know many exist on this tour so it would be annoying if a (rare) bad show is the one released. If it's a quality job by the quartet it may be the best recording of Queen in their prime which currently exists.

The odd vocal hiccup or mistake is all part of the live music experience.

One of those December 77 shows would be great, and unmistakably one of the most important Queen releases of all-time, but I've got my eye on those three Forum 78 gigs. The musicianship of Queen was at it's peak from December 78 through the Live Killers Tour, and getting any of those shows, one or more, would be one hell of a treat. Would love to hear Brighton Rock, It's Late, or any of the other centerpieces that made the band stand out on those Jazz Tour gigs. I highly doubt now, knowing that Millard taped Queen, and knowing that he wasn't a "one and done" type of guy (remember, he taped every SoCal gig that Zeppelin did from 75-77, sans two of their six forum shows in 77), that he only recorded one Queen gig, and I can certainly see more than one show arising in this collection. Only time will tell though.

I've got this feeling we won't have to wait long to get a Queen recording taped by Millard.... ;-)

Fingers crossed!

Don't get your hopes up on there being more than one recording.

It's actually a completely uncirculated show - the existing recording is mislabelled, and is actually March 2. This is monumental !

And the sound quality of the samples is fabulous. Can't wait to give this a spin.
