OK so just to be 100% sure - the previously circulated recording from this date (cca 58 minutes) is actually from the previous date, and this recording is from the 3rd?

quality is amazingly good for an audience boot.

Vocally, this show rivals 2/5 MSG

So this means Inglewood 1977 is from the second of March?

Fantastic recording! Such a clarity and a wonderful audience!
The performance is top notch! So many great versions of songs and really Queen at their best!
Huge thanks for everyone for making this possible to let this recording go public.
This is the best audience recording of the 70s so far! With Boston 76 taking a second spot now for me.

No it isn't, the JEMS date is correct.

Oops, thanks for the correction. [/QUOTE]
My website will be updated very soon.
We were all wrong about the date for decades. But we were just going by what we inherited.
This recording is just incredible. Surely it rivals Boston 76. What a great day to be a Queen collector.
Take note, hoarders - this is how it's done.

Indeed this is an amazing recording, but I don't think this is quite there with Boston 76. Something about the mix on this Millard recording is a bit shrilly, but otherwise, yes, it's fantastic. Then again, I'm just nitpicking for the hell of it, and in the end, it's just great to have an uncirculated show, from none less than Mike the Mic.

I had greedily hoped that there were two Millard concerts (both March 2nd and March 3rd concerts), and downloaded the same MEGA link twice (in this thread and the other thread). Oh well, that's two minutes of my life that I will never get back. LOL

The first song is muddy, but pretty sure that's the front of house mix itself that was muddy. On a recording this good you can hear the front of house tech pushing faders and EQing, and by the third song the mix is perfect.
I'd say this is on par with Boston. The separation of instruments is pretty marvellous.
MemeOverlord69 · Member since
Sure, I'm not disputing the separation of instruments or whatever, but the difference that I hear between Dan Lampinski's Boston 76 and Mike Millard's Inglewood 77 is mainly due to the distance and the size of the venue. Listening to Boston 76 is like having the speakers strapped to your ears, and the wonderful acoustics of the Music Hall give it a great punchy sound. With Inglewood 77, there is definitely a more spacey feel to it.

My old crappy ears can hear separation between the BVs too - Brian coming through distinctly, but still below Roger.
And surely we should be giving equal credit to the sound guy, for providing such a good sound in order for it to be recorded?
mrdata1968 · Member since
The muddy sound is because Millard was to late and not on the right spot.
It gets better during TYMD.

Have any other recordings from artists been released yet? I'm guessing there will be more great shows still to come.
Also, is there any pattern on who they are releasing the concerts? e.g. Is it in chronological order?
