MHZ, it really has been quite quiet here. I've been staying away a bit in hopes of keeping the drama out. I think it might be safe to return now.

I'll have to check Rudi out on his YouTube channel. I'm most familiar with Freddie and Brian, and would like to know more about Roger so I'd like to take a listen. Has Rudi moved?

I will confess that politics is a hobby of mine, but i promise never to bring it here. Though we venture into our personal lives in this thread, this is still a Queen site and I know where to direct my passions. : )

I'm not that big a tennis fan though I watched it obsessively during the Bjorn Borg years. Right now I'm waiting on football and the Bengals!

Hi Katy! Glad to know there’s still life here. Rudi has not moved yet, he keeps saying he is packing, but his place looks to be in the same disheveled state it’s always in. He also says he is going to Austria soon, and also to Brazil (?) but he seems to have lots of plans that don’t come to fruition! His show on Sunday was touching, a friend of his is dying from cancer so it was dedicated to him. No matter how scattered he is, he does seem to be a devoted friend.

Politics is such a hot button topic, I am impressed that we all keep it off here. I was never in to it much when I was younger, but now I am married to a government official (I am the First Lady of our county, lol!) I pay a lot more attention, My husband is super passionate about politics, so I hear it pretty much 24/7. It’s nice to have an escape here!

I wish I could look forward to football, but sadly the Colts haven’t given me a lot to cheer about lately. Usually I can switch to the Bears when the Colts are down, but they really aren’t at the top of their game either!

Hi all. Thank you again for traveling the broken glass road with me and caring. I was able to get the glass replaced. The matting (which is attached) and the sheet do show some damage but definitely able to salvage it. Yeah! We covered some of the scrapes with pencil but thought what we couldn’t get makes it look vintage. Haha. It will be added to my Queen corner.

MHZ, I did watch Rudi talk about Roger, and I also noticed that he seems to have done nothing in the way of packing! One of the reasons I'll probably never move out of this house is because even the idea of trying to pack this place up is overwhelming. Too many years, too much stuff. I enjoyed the Roger talk, and I'm sure I've seen the video of Roger's concert in the barn somewhere. I shouldn't even be talking about that because it's such a vague memory and I can't begin to give a source. Rudi also mentioned Roger partying at Pikes. I did try to read Tony Pike's book about his famous hotel once but it was so poorly written that I actually threw it away. I've never done anything like that before, but it was awful. As for football, the Bengals have been pretty bad for a couple of years now, but I am very loyal! Well, not so loyal that I am watching the game tonight, but loyal.

JB, your stamps look fabulous! I don't see any damage at all. I actually like your presentation much better than mine. I must not have seen that option. : (

FB has lots of birthday wishes for Freddie already. Hard to believe he would be 74. I think he would have done wonderful things as the years passed, but somehow I can't picturing him touring with the band. I'd like to think though that he would be happy with what Queen+AL has done to keep the music alive. Amidds, I want a report from you next year in Switzerland!!

We are at an Airbnb on the coast for a long weekend. My kiddos were sweet and played Queen music for me during the cartrip :) We talked about how we would be in Montreux now if life were normal but did discuss going next year instead. Fingers crossed.

I started the day with Dragon Attack from the Montreal concert. It's currently my favorite loud blast. Off to pick a Freddie tee shirt and get started on my day!

Happy Birthday Freddie!!!! I can’t even imagine what things he would have accomplished if he were still alive! I listened to Tyler And Neil’s (they tour with Brian, Roger and Adam) and it was another one of my favorites...Let Me Entertain You. These guys are so fantastically talented. If you’d like to see them, go to Tyler Warren’s YouTube page to watch...there is one for each of the guy’s birthdays. I actually just ordered Tyler’s album with his band Flarelight, I’m excited to hear it. I may try to post the link...but in case I fail this is my advanced disclaimer....

I noticed that the Mercury Phoenix Trust is auctioning items to raise money, and I bought a chance to win the package that includes items that both Roger and Brian wore at the tribute concert. I never win anything so I’m sure it’s useless, but at least it is a donation for a great cause!

Katy, I watched Roger’s concert in the barn too, and I really liked it. I enjoy some of Roger’s music but I’m not a diehard fan, and this concert really surprised me as to how much I liked it. I am the same as you with moving, I can’t fathom packing up all my stuff! I hate even packing a suitcase for vacation, let alone all my belongings.

I just finished reading Big Little Lies, and I loved it! Since I read mostly non-fiction I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I highly recommend.

Taking a moment to add a note of irritation....I drink mostly Fresca and/or diet Squirt at home and I cannot find it anywhere!! Shortage due to Covid, apparently, but I’m not sure how I will survive going forward. First world problems, lol!
