Happy bday Freddie and my Mimi in Heaven!!!!
K
MHZ, thanks for the link! Those guys are fantastic. I could just see Freddie performing that as he sang. I think all you need to do to make the link live is to delete the "s" after http. I'll try it here.

I saw on FB that MPT was running an auction, but I didn't see how long it would be up. I may have to come up later and buy a chance at the Tribute items too. I wouldn't be competing against you MHZ, because I never win anything either. : ) I try to make a purchase from MPT in honor of Freddie's bd every year, but time got away from me this year, so this would be a perfect solution.

BTW, the thing I'm having the most trouble finding during COVID is cleaning supplies. Still. I'm trying to do a bit of stocking up in case it gets bad in the fall, but so far, no luck.

MHZ, thanks for the link!
Hope you find some Squirt. :-)

Katy- yes, not easy finding bleach and of course latex gloves still.

Happy Birthday Freddie Dah-ling!

Aww, Brian has a nice birthday tribute to Freddie on his IG page. He shows some photos from the Neil Preston book which should be in my hands in October. The sneak peek looks incredible!

I had great fun celebrating Freddie's birthday today. Recently I discovered that "playing" with the band is an absolute blast. I have a small, 7 inch-wide wreath of Christmas bells that I use as a tambourine. It is the perfect instrument to play while listening to "39" (Earl's Court version) and the oldies medley from Wembley in 86. I pull up the videos on YouTube and then join in with the guys. SO MUCH FUN! The bells do sound like a tambourine...and kind of like Santa's sleigh bells as well, but that was okay! This afternoon my husband and I played Queen Monopoly while listening to Queen music. Later on we snacked on the small 5- inch "Happy Birthday, Freddie" cake I ordered. It was trimmed in yellow with a yellow rose on top. I was wearing my Freddie tee-shirt when I picked it up. The young woman at the counter looked at me and said, "Awesome shirt". Later tonight, we will watch one of the concert DVD's (either Wembley '86 or Montreal '81). One last thing....I put on one of my two remaining temporary Freddie tattoos. It was as TOTAL Freddie celebration day!

MHZ...Thanks for mentioning that the Mercury Phoenix Trust was doing an auction. I had no idea. I also bought one chance to win the package that includes the tribute concert items of clothing.

Sorry I am late to the party!

Happy Birthday lovely Freddie. We miss you and we still love you.

Made a donation to MPT and listened to Going Back.(earliest recording our boy ever made.)

Attached is a photo of Freddie at his 38th Birthday Party at Xenon's with the birthday cake which was supposedly stolen by Malcolm McClaren! I have written on an art app what hopefully reads "Happy Birthday" in Japanese.

hope everyone is well.

I’m so glad a few others got in on the auction! If I can’t win, I would be equally excited for one of you guys to get it! There appears to be a limited number, when I ordered it said something like 4500 left. I’m not sure if there was a max purchase number, but hopefully someone doesn’t come along and buy a few hundred to up their chances.

Rainbow, you did up the birthday celebration big! Bravo!

FD, great pictures, I didn’t know Garden Lodge had a FB page so I’ll have to look for it. Nice work on the Freddie figure!

I am thinking about seeing if I can find some black market Fresca, lol! Cleaning supplies are low here too, especially toilet cleaner. No one in our county seems to have any....not sure what’s up with that!
Love is still the answer, take my hand...
