There are several here who do listen to his Live broadcasts on Sunday. I'd be interested to hear what he said about John if anyone can share. I could watch the Live on his YouTube page but he takes so long to get to the point I'd rather someone who heard it just tell me. : )

I should have taken a breath before stupidly posting this probable hoax, but I was curious if anyone in this "chat group" might think whether Rudi was exaggerating (given his spontaneous and disorganized approach to things).

Saint, nothing stupid about your post! I had seen it on queenchat too and wondered. I was immediately highly doubtful that John would be talking to anyone, but you never know. BTW I've seen you post before about the bot posts that have blue links trying to entice people to open\ to what could be a virus and at the very least has nothing to do with Queen. That's a helpful warning and I thank you for that. They've gotten a tiny bit more sophisticated in that it sometimes appears they are replying to a post with almost coherent English and the blue link is buried. I think most people realize the truth, but they have gotten a bit more deceptive.

Hello, all! Lots to discuss, I have been a bit MIA due to having my in-laws staying with us all weekend. They are great and easy to deal with but it all still takes time. My husband’s aunt turned 90 so they had a party for her and we all went. I sure hope I am as healthy and spry as she is when I get to be that age!

I was able to watch Rudi’s Show live yesterday where he chats on YouTube. I asked him if he had more footage of Mary Austin from The Untold Stories documentary and he said yes, he has lots. He also did several documentaries that were not released, one being behind the scenes at Knebworth. I wish Jim Beach would allow them to be seen! Rudi’s comment on it was, that Queen would not release anything after Freddie’s death that they wouldn’t have released when he was alive. I am not sure what he really means by that...is it that the quality isn’t good enough? Or did it somehow show Freddie negatively and they don’t want that out there? I can’t imagine Rudi would put together something either bad in quality, or in bad taste, either. So I’m a bit perplexed.
Katy, I would say The Complete Works is pretty dry, but does have tons of good info. I would recommend not getting it on Kindle though, it is a book that you need to be able to use more as a reference manual, which is tough electronically. I did it on Kindle, and I think I’m going to ask for a hard copy for Christmas. I am pretty sure I read it after someone’s recommendation on this thread, so whoever gave it....thank you! : )

MHZ...Did you ever order those Freddie chocolates? I got mine about a week ago...much sooner than I expected. The box is lovely. I don't want to eat any of them because it would ruin the the display, but I am curious as to how they taste. I will be disappointed if they taste like bad Easter bunny chocolate...yuk! There is a magnet on the back of the box, so I decided to keep it on my refrigerator for now. (I've attached a picture of the opened box and the front cover)

Amidds...I hope you make it to Montreux next year. Freddie's 75th birthday will be HUGE! If you had gone this year, did you have a special outfit you were going to wear? Maybe walk around in the harlequin costume? LOL.

I might be one of the few people who does not have (or want) a FB page, but I admit that I do log onto my husband's FB page on occasion. Speaking of Queen tribute bands, last year I saw a tribute band called "Almost Queen". Initially, I had NO intention of attending the show, but I finally broke down and decided to give it a shot. I'm glad I went. The concert was sold out (small venue) and I had a lot of fun. Afterwards, the guys were available in the lobby for pictures and autographs. They donate a portion of their souvenir sales to the Mercury Phoenix Trust. Great guys.
Another Queen tribute band, Gary Mullen and the Works, was supposed to play in my hometown this past April, but their show was cancelled due to COVID. Looking forward to attending a concert again. The last show I saw was a symphony orchestra tribute to the music of John Williams. It was fantastic. That was in early February. (Seems so long ago)

I looked at the picture of the Freddie chocolates that I uploaded. On my desktop computer, the picture is upright, but on my laptop computer, the picture is upside down. That's weird! By the way, I solved the problem of being able to taste my chocolates while keeping the whole package intact...I simply ordered another box! (There are 3 different box covers...only one has a real picture of Freddie, the other two boxes look like Freddie impersonators)

Complete Works - totally agree w/get it in book form, not Kindle. It is very dry, a great resource and it's still one of those that I haven't made my way completely through yet. I do refer to it when I'm reading/listening to something related to Queen and I DO enjoy it!

We are definitely giving thought to attending the 75th but will have to see how traveling and our schedule goes. I actually put in over 30 hours of work from Fl and would NOT have been able to do that from Paris/Montreux. Part of the workload was due to issues that occur every September so I will have to come up with a better plan for next year if I go.

Rainbow, I ordered the chocolates but they won't be delivered until next week sometime. I'm sure they held them because of the weather. It had been so hot here, but it's suddenly jumped to fall!
FD, I have to thank you for the Garden Lodge FB link too. There were some interesting things on the page. I do like FB but I use it mainly to keep up with family and friends who don't live nearby. Well, that and all the Freddie/Queen pages I follow, mostly for the pictures.

Rainbow, I wouldn't know what kinds of decorations are up in the stores, because I never get to the stores!! Lately I've been in a bit of a funk that is unusual for me. I'm usually pretty upbeat but I feel like I'm watching the West burn, the South flood, and I'm hiding in my house. : ( I am seeing my grandkids and that helps, but I do miss my friends. If I was in the stores now I'd be wanting to see Halloween! I LOVE Halloween, no idea why. I wonder if they will cancel Trick or Treating for the kids. I hope not, but I'd have to handle it differently. I sit outside, no matter the weather (last year it snowed!) but I always let the kids reach in the bowl and pick what they want. I give out full sized candy bars so I get a lot of kids. I guess I'd have to ask what they want, wear gloves, and pass it to them. I don't know why I'm even thinking about it. I expect it to be canceled. And then my beloved Macy's Thanksgiving Parade will be one block long????? I know this will all pass but I'm just so tired of it.
