Just wanted to put a couple of quick things out there....
On Insta, I saw the MPT is now selling Freddie masks. Pretty cute is anyone is interested. Didn't look into cost yet, been pretty busy catching up from vacation.
I also got a note regarding the Thor/Lee book. I had donated a little higher than the $50 for an autographed copy. It was meant to be for the guys to be able to bring their dream to fruition BUT they asked for names to put in the book. Sooooo, anyone who couldn't afford to contribute enough for a signed copy want one? Just PM me and we'll discuss. As I STILL don't get notified of PM's, maybe just give me a heads up :)
Oh Katy, I WILL be going someday! It's on my bucket list and I've worked since I was 14 to be able to save up for awesome vacations! And of course, I will share exp/pics and get our darn names on that wall!!!!

I forgot to order the Freddie chocolates, I will have to back and do that. I think I will order 2 as well, one to eat and one to keep! I hate those cheap Easter chocolate bunnies, where they pretty much taste like sweetened wax. Hope these are better!
I am not a Halloween person, never really have been. I have always lived off the beaten path so I never get trick or treaters. So for me it’s not worth the effort. I feel bad for the neighborhoods now, everyone packs up and goes to the bigger, nicer ones...so they can get good treats (ha!) in a more condensed area. Some of them have cars parked way down the road waiting to get in! I have friends that can go through 10 bags of candy. Also, I have zero imagination when it comes to dressing up, I really envy people that come up with cute costume ideas.
I hear you on being tired of stuff being cancelled, Katy. I couldn’t believe they cancelled the Macy’s parade, it’s outside! They could have made a few modifications and been fine. And I’m really struggling with having no concerts or performances to attend. I keep seeing posts from musicians, or I hear music on the radio and think “oooh, I want to go see them” and then I am yanked back to the realization that I may not go for another year. Grrrrr!

For those interested, there is a Queen fan in Italy that does interviews and has interviewed Peter Straker, Rudi, and Mike Moran. I think Peter Freestone may also be scheduled....not 100% sure on that one. Anyway, the link to part one of his interview with Mike Moran is below. I quite like Mike Moran, he seems so friendly. He basically only answers one question on this, so that shows how talkative he is! Not much new info until the end, but still interesting. Hopefully he’ll post subsequent parts of this interview too.

Katydyd...I'm like you, I love all the images on that canvas print you showed us, but I don't care for the last one. My Freddie chocolates are not supposed to arrive until sometime between Oct. 8-30...I wonder why mine will be so late? After talking so much about the chocolates, I hope that you, MHZ, and I will find them tasty!

My entire fall series of English country dance classes has been cancelled and the winter series is up in the air. Sadly, I do not expect everything will return to normal again at the start of 2021.

I do like that the proceeds benefit the Mercury Phoenix Trust. Glad to hear you will make it to Montreux at some point. We will certainly be there with you in spirit whenever you go. I am so excited that your QZ friends will be represented on the memorial wall! :)

Did anyone order either of the two magazines that have cover stories of Queen? I ordered the one from "Record Collector" that celebrates the 45 anniversary of Bo-Rhap and A Night At The Opera. I have ordered two magazines in the past that have come from England (from different companies) and the covers have been in pristine condition when the arrived.

Rainbow, I finally got my chocolates, but I don't plan to eat them. I put it up as a magnet, but I'm sure when I show the chocolates to my youngest grandchild she'll want to eat one and I usually give in. : ) My guess is that it isn't a high quality chocolate, but then I'm kind of a chocolate snob. BTW, mine came from Russia!! I should learn to look for the shipment origin when I order from Amazon. That's the second time something Queen related has come from there. The first time was my FM calendar last year. I actually had to go to the post office to sign for that. I was looking at 2021 calendars and so far the only FM calendar on Amazon I see is from the same company and the quality wasn't that great so I'll pass.

My family usually celebrates the meal on a different day once we all figure out what works for everyone, so I always look forward to the parade and the dog show.

Katydyd...You are not going to try even ONE of the Freddie chocolates? I am hopeful they will be fine, but then again, Hershey Chocolate Kisses and M&M's are two of my favorite chocolate sweet treats of all time. Here is a quirky M&M fact...the M's are food decals. If you put an M&M in a cup of water, the M will float to the top after a minute or so. (It's best to use a small cup)

Rainbow...you have now blown my mind! The “m“ on an m&m floats to the top??? How am I just now learning this, lol! Again we are twins in the chocolate department, kisses and m&m are also my favorites. I love Halloween time when businesses have bowls of the fun size candies out and I can get just a little taste. I cannot be trusted with an entire big sized bag of m&m’s, I have been known to eat them all in a sitting....
I have seen the Freddie masks at the MPT, I would like to get the mustache one. I already have a bunch of masks though, and I don’t go out that much so I just can’t justify it. Katydid, that Italian guy that does the interviews makes me smile with his voice and enthusiasm! In his IG posts he always starts with that upbeat cadence, I have no idea what he’s saying but it still makes me happy! Apparently he interviewed Rudi yesterday, I’ll have to go back and see if it’s posted. I watched the Peter Straker one and it was interesting, the only new thing I learned was that Straker did some background vocals on Under Pressure.
I am SO hoping the dog show is still on at Thanksgiving, I can’t imagine that day without it! Once I have everything prepared and in the oven I sit down and watch it, it’s my reward for all that work. They are still having horse shows around the country, so I am hoping the dogs shows survive.
Also...I have to come clean about a serious problem I have...I now have 8 pairs of Queen leggings, how did that happen? I’m not even a big wearer of leggings. I feel like if I confess maybe I will be able to stop the addiction! ; )

I noticed that part 2 of Mike Moran’s interview is up on the Queen Recsensioni fan page on YouTube is posted, and it is quite a bit more interesting. There is also a part 3, so that is something to look forward to.
Have you guys seen that there is going to be a virtual fan convention this year? I will have to find the link and post it, it sounds like fun.
Also, there is a new book published by Gary Taylor on the Queen tour in the US in 1982. I’m going to order it. He also did a book on an earlier tour too, I’m going to try to find it. I don’t think you can order on Amazon or anything, he seems to sell on his own. I have heard these are great books, he has tons of detailed and inside info. I am not sure of his connection to Queen, if he is a mega fan or if he had something to do with the band. I’ll have to find out.

Most of the Queen ones get ordered, but it takes quite a while to get them, sometimes 4-6 months. I will say they are super soft and comfy and not crazy expensive. Most are around $25 or so. Look for Meraki Boutique Leggings Facebook group and join that for the best information. She does holiday styles, and different tv shows/cartoons/movie themes, etc. so if you want something else she has those too.
