Rainbow, I found the cards on Amazon and I love them. I sent the link, and it really was cumbersome, to my DIL's as a Christmas idea. Crossing my fingers they get the hint.

I blended in really well during the costume parade at Breakthru. I'm not sure any one noticed that I was supposed to be John Deacon in a music video wearing a black and red Chicago Blackhawks jacket. A black long sleave Blackhawks jersey with a red Blackhawks t-shirt worn over it (with red short sleaves rolled up) was a very pale imitation of a genuine black and red Chicago Blackhawks jacket.

While the individual karaoke was not a competition, the group of four air guitar / mime in 2004 was a competition. My air guitar imitation of John Deacon came in second to a young teenage girl imitating Freddie. I recall almost falling down attempting John's patented "Wembley slow one-legged spin move".
The one year Breakthru had a group trivia competition (2003), I was part of a group QZers that won 1st place. As for the individual trivia competitions, I slowly improved over the years to win 2nd place in 2004 and 1st place in 2005. In 2006 I could not participate in the trivia competition because I was a past individual winner. :(

That problem with the long link happened because this latest version of this forum is 13 years old and buggy, with many features being broken.
LOL, Saint Jiub, you got me. I thought that link was of the convention and you were sharing yourself. I should have known you wouldn't reveal that much! Actually I like that video and also WWRY from the same session. In fact I like the outtakes almost as well. That brandy bottle was very influential on Freddie's performance. The rest of the band seems to be enjoying the whole thing immensely. Sounds like you came up with a pretty good approximation of John's outfit!
I'm very impressed with your Trivia wins! Are the QZers that you won with still around? Just wondering how enduring the friendships were But this only reinforces my thought that you really know your stuff.

I believe the QZers from that trivia group have been gone 10 years I think. I was in email contact with one of these QZers a little over a year ago.

I am so shocked and saddened to hear about Eddie Van Halen! I have loved Van Halen for years, I even got to see them back when I was in college. I knew Eddie had cancer a while back, but I thought he’d beaten it. So it was just kind of out of the blue to have this happen. I read Sammy Hager’s book about his time with Van Halen less than a year ago, and it sure sounds like Eddie led a rough rock and roll lifestyle. But he was just so lovable, with that great smile and twinkling eyes. And his talent was amazing. I’m just so sad today.

MHZ, thanks for the link. I was shocked to hear of Eddie's death even though I also knew he had been dealing with cancer. Such a master of the guitar. The great artists live on through their work............
MHZ, Yes I do believe folks got no right to bully whether in schools or where ever. I get why Thor walked off from here plus his book is ready and it’s time to sale them he will be busy. What about the rest of us that have been verbally attacked how do you think that makes us feel when we visit your thread to engage in pleasant conversation and you blow us off. Chevy - please stop trying to stir up trouble. There is no bullying going on on this thread, Katy does not own or operate it. No one, including Katy has any responsibility to try to help you out of the trouble you may have caused yourself on other threads. If you don't like the way you are being treated, either stop engaging in the negative behavior you claim you don't like or step away from QZ. It may just be me but, I don't like the child-like fighting and hate that goes on around here at times and really don't want to be dragged into it. Please stop and let us have at least one nice, civilized thread.
Chevy... Everyone is welcome to post here just as they can post on any other Queen Zone thread. It's not an exclusive place, so I have no idea why others would feel unwelcome. This thread doesn't have a leader and is not "owned" by one person. There are no "rules" except some common sense guidelines one assumes everyone understands as a normal part of public forum interaction such as being polite, respectful, and having a sense of decorum as to which topics are appropriate to discuss and which are best left for private chats. Angry posts, sexual posts, disrespectful posts, and repetitive posts are ones I typically gloss over...here or elsewhere...from anyone.
If you feel ignored on Queen Zone, then you need to ask yourself the difficult question of "Why is this happening to me"? It doesn't appear you have done that yet. Look at your posting history and you will find ALL the answers you need. People reach a saturation point, and my guess is that people have reached that point with you after trying for a very long time to be tolerant again and again and again. So....My biggest hope for you is that you turn this situation into something truly healing and positive for yourself. It certainly won't be easy, but please step back and use this time to deal with issues that have absolutely NOTHING to do with Queen Zone. It is not healthy to be upset and angry all the time.
