When I and my family were attacked by FD she sent me a very nice message and she was very kind TUHI did the same . There still are ones that don’t join the pack and stand alone. I appreciate them supporting me during that attack thank you very much !!!

Petal, I would love to see the Feltham Memorial and also Garden Lodge! I assume you've seen that. In fact I'd love to visit London someday for many reasons. BTW, I also find new book suggestions on queenchat. I've got the Neil Preston book coming at the end of this month. I'm a big fan of photography so I'm looking forward to that. I had told the people here I'd share my impressions. I'm also very interested in Queen All the Songs, but like you, am waiting to hear reviews. I want you to know that the Book thread you started here on QZ was one of my favorites. I enjoyed the thoughtful conversations about the books we read together. Queenchat has a book thread as you know so maybe we can get that going there too. One more thing, like you, I have mostly lurked there, just as I did here in the beginning.

LSgp, can you PM me on queenchat? I kept this name, LOL, lack of creativity I guess. I love their PM system because it's so easy and have already shared with some there. If you PM me there I'll know the name you are using and can contact you more easily. I really don't like the QZ PM at all.

Brenski, thanks again for your help and your warm welcome. I have come to know you better and I really do think you are a fair man and are working at running a fair site. You have helped with technical issues on your site though I should have immediately used your instructions on quoting more than once person at a time so that I didn't lose the ability. Luckily I still have them and can refer back.

Rolling my eyes, LOL and most of you will get that, I'll go ahead and start a new thread over there, but I would like to come up with a new name. Saint Jiub, I thought Vignettes was clever and quirky, but I'm not sure it would draw people in for the kind of warm chat we've had here. I think it would confuse most, just as it did when Thor first used the word. I was trying to think of something that would let people know we had relocated, some sort of "we've moved" name. And yes, I know that is probably just as lame as the name I used here but once we establish we will be able to let our friends know it is us. I hope we'll get some new friends too. I'll start it once we get a good name, but I intend to post here until QZ closes. This has been part of my daily life for so long now. Finding a new home makes the loss a bit easier, but still hard to say goodbye. Plus staying here allows others to find us here and know where we are. Lsgp, you were one I was looking for and I got a PM from another, so I think it is wise to hang a bit longer.

I have a question, I wanted to reply to you on queenchat but I saw your comment about people should be able to work out how to use 'quotes'. I was so afraid of looking like a dumb arse then I didn't try. I might try it out so if I mess it up don't be cross lol

Katy no I haven't visited Garden Lodge either. This was another visit that was planned for this year and was stopped by the virus. Some of the friends I have made through QZ were due to come to England in June, a couple had tickets to see Queen & AL at the O2. We had lots of plans that have been ruined sadly. Fingers crossed for next year.

Petal...We must have been responding to brENsKi at the same time. Your comment made me chuckle. I, too, have been afraid of looking dumb if I messed up the "quotes function", so I just avoided it all these years as my current system has worked fine. I will definitely be learning as I go along. I intend to take time to look over the new site to familiarize myself with how if functions. I do love how easy the PM feature is.

Wow, I've been unable to get on QZ for the last six hours, and I cant' get into QZ PMs right now. Server crashing?

Isn't the quote feature on Queenchat basically the same as it is here? I'm wondering if it would be possible to practice here first. I still mess up from time to time, but I edit until I get it right. Hmmmm..........is it possible to edit posts over there? I'm tired of typing "Queenchat" so "over there" has to do. Maybe QC for now??? Any way, I'm still working out some of the functions on QC.

I really like the name Good Company. Saint Jiub I also like Meeting Good Company. I actually don't think the Good Company name would lead people to think we were going to discuss the song though, because the forum we will use is buried all the way at the bottom and is listed as Non-Music. Waht do you think? Should we use Good Company?

LOL, Jo, I didn't see your post. Laughed out loud at QZ Group Therapy, though I hope we can leave all of the ugliness behind when we go, and just being in a new spot will be a breath of fresh air. I loved QZ when I first found it and it became a first thing in the morning/last thing at night ritual for me. I'm sad to see the good parts of the site end, but I don't want to dwell on the negativity that happened here in any way, so to be honest, I'd like to leave the QZ name off.

I know I'm bossy, and i've certainly been accused of that here, but I don't mean to be. I think it's the retired teacher in me that tends to grab the reins. It's actually fairly easy for anyone to take the reins back from me, so I hope others will weigh in if they have ideas too. As I had to say so many times in the past, I'm not the owner of the site! I do like Good Company but that's just my personal opinion. It feels friendly and welcoming.

Yeah jo T that’s what Queen stood for and supported. They were and are a special band for all the misfits .Its what Freddie’s vision was I think maybe he was one of those misfits.Thanks for that posting ! Freddie would’ve hated Queen chat boards and the bickering here. And the arrogance of those that try and take charge.

I really like the title "Good Company". My only thought in adding "meeting" was to possibly make the topic title more active and inviting, but I don't feel strongly about adding "meeting" to the thread title, and was a little apprehensive in suggesting the tile modification.

I am guessing QZ has been tied up today by Queenchat efforts to back up John Stuart's treasure trove of information on QueenChat.
