Saint Jiub, in my relatively short time here I spent almost all of it on Thor's threads. Lucky for me I did keep a file of some of the stories he and Lee shared so I will always have that. I will miss being able to go back and read his threads. I assumed my ability to get in today was due to all the activity. Yesterday I had an equally hard time with getting in to QC Hopefully this will all be sorted out soon. Educate me though and please excuse my ignorance, but who is John Stuart? I've seen him mentioned on both sites. I probably should know, but I don't..

My grandmother was a retired school teacher and she didn’t have to have the reigns she was a loving giving person that would never have behaved the way you have Katy a I’m gonna say it it’s your goodbye gift a complete cunt

Jo T....So funny! Let me add a couple more: "The Exiles" or "The Immigrants"

Katydyd....I also had problems getting onto Queen Zone earlier, and then I had problems posting as well. In fact, this is my second attempt today. I got the dreaded "Gateway Timeout" message on my last try and lost my post. I truly appreciate you taking the reins during this transition time. That's not being bossy, it's having initiative, so thank you for taking charge and making it easier for all of us here. I don't feel familiar enough with the new site to do much of anything there yet, so I wouldn't have been a lot of help. As far as names, I really like both "Good Company" and "Meeting Good Company", although I give a slight edge to the simplicity of "Good Company". Talking about books...last night I ordered another one: Georg Purvis' "Queen: Complete Works" (Revised edition). Got it on Amazon, used, but excellent condition and not very expensive. From what I gather, it's a great Queen resource book to have.

Saint Jiub...I am hoping someone is able to archive all of the good Queen Zone threads, although that seems like a monumental task. I am relatively new to Queen Zone compared to many...I think I discovered it in 2016. Even though I have not been here a long time, I have learned a lot from the "Queen Encyclopedia People" and am sad at the thought that so much recorded info and insight might be lost.

Petal...I kept my same user name on Queen Chat. I figured that would make it easier for people to either find me...or avoid me :)

Rainbow, I think you and I came to QZ at about the same time so I'm glad you reminded me of how long it's been. I lurked for a while, but noticed how nice people were and in particular, you, so I jumped in.. So I have you to thank for some great times!!

Saint Jiub, I have you to thank for my intro to QC. I don't know what we would have been discussing here, but you mentioned the site and encouraged us to give it a look. I did but it took me a while to join, and then an even longer time to post. I still don't post much and I think I have something like a grand total of 10 posts. Guess that will be changing soon enough.

Chevy...I know you won't listen, but SHUT UP...SHUT UP....SHUT UP...Your post was vile!

"He is a much respected and loved member of the Queen community and his knowledge on Queen's studio material had been a treasure for collectors world wide."

"All the musical gems he unhearted and preserved for posterity. All those marvelous articles he wrote for Record Collector Magazine and the discussions in here. He was a great researcher, and he really did make a difference to us all."

"I massively enjoyed reading his articles in Record Collector over twenty years ago and also his posts on this forum. His 'ultimate collection' threads were a treasure trove of information."

Oh my, thanks for sharing. I'm sorry I missed him. It is clear he was loved. I hope they do find a way to preserve his information. I'm sad for all of you who knew him.

emrabt on Queenchat was very busy:

"I took some time last night making sure John s Stuarts threads had versions saved to the waybackmachine, I've checked / saved all the threads on this page + the 2nd and third pages from those:

Chevy, one of my REAL friends offline has part Native American ancestry - like you. She once revealed to me the real meaning of the word "squaw." No wonder she hated it. At its crudest, it refers to the female genitalia and it's demeaning to women. It's misogynistic. I'd say it's equivalent to the word "c - - t." How would YOU feel if your paternal grandmother was referred to as a "squaw," the way you insulted katydyd5, also somebody's grandmother, as a c - - t? That was absolutely uncalled for, as well as unchristian. BTW, I would defend YOUR grandmother's honor, too!

Saint Jiub...I didn't know who John S. Stuart was either. Thank you for the link. To have that kind of genuine respect from so many...sounds like a very special man. It's obvious his passing was a huge loss.

Has anyone been keeping up with Rudi's weekly presentations? Just wondering if there has been any news about when his book is finally coming out? Has he even finished writing it yet?
L
Katydyd5 and the rest of the gang here....your thoughts on naming the new forum/thread as “I’m Just a Musical Prostitute dear”
Or just “Musical Prostitute.”

I wonder if the band ever read these threads when board stuck at home. They are probably afraid of QZ fans hahahaha
It’s become unnecessarily violent in some places. Some of the topics on Queen Chat and the knowledge make me wonder if they are on there, or their ex roadies, ex sound engineers, or even Rudi. Rudi is packing his office. He’s moving ba to Vienna and promised no delays with book. He has finished with 50 chapters and ready for the editing process. The publishers want a never seen photo of him and Freddie on the cover, and he said he is not impressed by how he looks in the pics. So he’s going to get 3-5 pics and allow those that preordered the book to vote on what the cover photo should be.

One of his Italian fan clubs from Italy did a question and answer session with Rudi and it all came from there. Book will be edited and published in Austria with the first printing in English and German. He read part of a chapter to the Italian doing the interview and I enjoyed listening.

Looking forward to it although not holding my breath that it’s any time soon.

Although funny, I am not sure I would want anyone to know that I particpate in a "prostitute" thread.

I think that "Good Company" epitomizes the spirit and community of this thread, "Friendly Chat".

Well JT , these fine women I really wouldn’t call them women what do you want me to call them they have done nothing but tell some untruth about me and been just as desrespectful as I have and nothing is worked about lying to make them self’s look better and she has always been a problem in the background why you think Thor wants nothing to do with his name with that thread she is setting up she is a control freak. Is that a a little better.Great!!!!!!!!!!
L
Well it was worth a try. Was only thinking of rudi’s first ever interview of Freddie, where Freddie came up with the now famous line “ just a musical Prostitute dear”......
Makes no difference to me as long as we migrate over.
