Again more bullshit rationalisations. Mr bad guy is a top notch album for what it is. The reason it flopped was because queen fans refused to buy thinking it would cause Freddie to leave queen. And you can hardly expect Freddie to win over a whole new audience with one album, especially one that was heavily influenced by disco music, gay disco music even.

Again mr bad guy is as irrelevant to the discussion as ibex and wreckage. At the end of the day it was Freddie who laid out a banquet with killer queen bo rhap, somebody I love etc. on which queen as a band could then feast on for the next two decades. If it weren't for that there would have been no queen. End of.

Mr Bad Guy had some great songs on it " I Was Born To Love You" reached No 11 in the UK and No 4 in South Aftrica, hardly a flop by your standards Brenski.

I'm not saying Mr Bad Guy is a bad record but even Freddie admitted himself, he needed the rest of Queen on it.

@young music fan, as I've said earlier, whether mr bad guy is a good album or not is as irrelevant to the discussion as ibex and wreckage. Brenski and others are only bringing those up to obfuscate the discussion and to deflect from the fact that it was Freddie, not Brian or roger that broke queen into superstardom, thus giving the band a platform, or a stage, on which to bulid. Failing that it would have been all over and Brian May would probably still be teaching astronomy at some university in London.

the "mental health card" - as you call it. is a hypothetical card that would allegedly be played by someone with mental health - usually to cite some form of unfair treatment. It's usually perceived as a cynical ploy to gain preferential treatment. an example of this would be someone saying:

it's NOT an actual card that anyone carries...it's not a BLUE BADGE...ffs!
