What's up with that thing Lameass does where he sings kind of normally, and then suddenly, and for no apparent reason goes into this high pitched scream type thing.

It absolutely drives me up the wall.

Better singing than Freddie? Only according to Brian I think.

It's his choice of how to sing, guess if you don't like it don't listen, Brian & Roger clearly love it.

That wasn't my question. I never asked about choices or whether Brian and roger like it.

Please read my question again.

Well it's how he chooses to sing, if you've heard him enough you'll know he likes to throw in a rock wail as do lots of singers, it wasn't Freddie's style of singing but then he's not there to copy Freddie.

You call that a rock wail?
I suppose if you call it that it might come across as somewhat palatable, but a rock wail it ain't.

Well since you haven't linked a video with said scream I can only guess which part you're talking about.

They all sound pretty much the same and I wouldn't call them rock wails.

He needs some vocal lessons.

He doesn't think so. Hardly surprising given Brian's insinuations that he's a better vocalist than Freddie Mercury.

Would you bother taking vocal lessons if you were constantly being told that you're a better vocalist than Freddie Mercury? I think not.

H esounds annoying - his voice is totally powerless on rocksongs and he sounds like a whining lil girl. With his yodeling he is trying to hide the fact that his voice has no power at all

the yodelling annoys the crap out of me as well. His vocals just simply don't suit the feel of the songs -- it's just so mediocre, so karaoke.

He's had vocal lessons since age 13 as it goes. When you have multiple people telling you you're a brilliant vocalist (plenty musicians and producers) then you are brilliant vocalist, what you prefer to listen to and what style of singing you like is an entirely different thing.

Really, he had vocal lessons? I'm genuinely surprised.

People who know what he can do aren't.

I've heard what he can do. It was a chore to listen, but I persevered.
