Q+AL has existed for nearly nine years. About the same as The Beatles. Just fucking deal with it!

Why posting the same drivel on 2 different threads you prick? You are comparing The Beatles with a cover combo? Nine years of shitting on their legacy and becoming a laughing stock.

The thing about these kinds of "vocal teacher" videos is that they always tend to go very easy on the performers because they're fishing for likes and subscriptions.
If this particular vocal teacher were to be totally brutally honest he would no doubt only succeed in getting a bunch of dislikes from crapbert fans and no new subscriptions.
If you've watched enough of Ken's vids you'll know he doesn't pull his punches about any artist no matter who they are.

He said those nasally, high pitched screams are goat-like and not his thing.
He also said Adam is the kind of singer who makes him want to sing and his talent is truly next level, meaning even though there's some things about his singing that's not personally his taste he still recognizes his actual ability.
@Mister cosmicc, he did indeed, which is good because objectivity of this type means that people are more likely to take his analysis more seriously. But i still think he went too easy on crapbird.

He's honest but he also recognizes his ability which is being objective, you saying he went too easy isn't being objective.
@rock chick, he was definitely being more objective than I am. I make no bones about being subjective and saying that crapbert's singing drives me up the wall.
However, when so many people think that crapbert's singing sounds like a bleating mountain goat, the situation really is beyond redemption. And certainly as a queen fan I don't take lightly to having those songs raped in this way. And I take it even less lightly when Brian tries to insinuate that crapbert is a superior singer to Freddie.

You clearly haven't listened to may vocal coaches talking about singing or you'd know the goat thing is something they use to describe a particular type of vibrato and not meaning it in the way you do. Also that vid was made up mostly of old stuff from Idol or his first solo stuff and his singing has changed quite a bit since then. Pity he didn't do something more current.
As to Brian saying Adam is better than Freddie that is taken out of context, he actually said Adam can sing higher consistenly in a live situation which is true, that's not saying he's better. He also said Adam can do everything Freddie could do at one point but the context was talking about touring and him meaning they can just throw any situation at him and he can deal with it in terms of singing and performing.
There is vibrato and then there is vibrato; they're not all created equal. And crapbert's vibrato has a definite mountain goat flavour to it, that for sure.
As to what Brian actually said I hope you're not so stupid as to expect Brian to come out and straight out say that crapbert's a better singer than Freddie. No, Brian is a smart man, he'll suggest, insinuate, gently chip away at your perceptions to get you to think what he wants you to think.

I don't think Brian would say it or think it, he's well aware of how Freddie sounded both recorded and live and the same with Adam, he's merely praising someone who has talent, just because he worked with one person doesn't mean he can't be impressed with another.
Your naïveté and innocence indicate to me that you haven't been around very long.
How old are you, if you don't mind me asking?

Old enough to have watched Queen on TOTP in 1974 doing Killer Queen which is where I fell in love with the band.
Maybe I'm just not a perpetually cynical person who attributes nefarious motives to everything they do.
I'm genuinely surprised if I'm honest. I'm actually much younger than you are but I've been told that I'm an astute judge of character, people's motives and I have a hell of potent bullshit detector.

You didn’t fall in love with the band. You know more about Adam than Queen. You came here to discuss Adam, not Queen. You are an Adam Worshipper who would hear Queen on the radio, or see them in television, but you weren’t someone “in love with them.” I doubt very much that you even bought their albums.

Nope I had all their albums on vinyl (hubby got them when we split) although I didn't know that much about them at the time other than their music but I've watched the documentaries and learned a lot about them since the internet's been around. I doubt I know as much as some on here but I know enough, not that I think you need to know everything about a band to enjoy their music but I find them interesting as people, I love the fact they were all educated in such diverse fields. I'm a guitar fan so I'd say Brian is my favourite but I've always loved the song structure of Queen music so I've learned more about them than any other band I'm a fan of.
Anyway duty calls but I'll be back later to debate further since I'm sure you won't believe me.
