Still better than most of Queen's solo work.
I can't help but laugh xD.

@ the fairy King, lame birds stuff has nowhere near the sophistication and sublime grandiosity of Barcelona, nor the punch and fun of Mr Bad Guy.

I gave them both a listen. Feel something is ok, but lacks punch and the other one is kind of a 90s pop Britney Spears number. Somehow his vocals sound a lot less annoying than when he's singing queen songs.
Overall there's not enough there to keep me from changing the channel if either one of those songs came on the radio.
I love both of those songs, and I will say in front of everyone I think it's his best solo work to date.
Feel Something, we'll here is what I think. He's very open with the song, like never before. I really for respect him for being do open.
FYE is just fun and sassy.
Hardly groundbreaking songs, but I don't think they were meant to be groundbreaking.

This is one of my favourites he's done and I wouldn't say it's the same as his other stuff personally.

@rockchick, I thought it was kind of "meh" to be honest -- it just doesn't exite me the way Freddus does.
I don't want to be a dickhead but honestly the only positive thing I can say is that the vocals don't sound as annoying as when his singing queen songs.

Each to their own I suppose, I love both Freddie and Adam, I don't like all Adam's music but I do love his voice on most things.

I have the exact same opinion as RC. I am not that fond of some of Adam's songs, but I love the voice. Some of my fav songs are covers and, of course, Queen songs. No one is saying his own work is fabulous. I like some of it and there are a few I really love, but I don't understand why he can't work with people who would find that perfect song for him. I am kind of perplexed about that. I think his first album was my fav- Check out "Fever" which was written by Gaga. That might be my favorite of all the songs. I also like Music Again by Justin Hawkins of the Darkness, as it is just fun. I think Naked Love could have been a big summer hit. I love Pop that Lock and The Light. Chokehold is my favorite slower song. I do think the For Your Entertainment video was his absolute best. It was so well done, kind of an underground Berlin theme, but after the debacle at the AMA's they pushed that song to the side. I am not a huge fan of Velvet, too much falsetto and doesn't do his voice any justice, very generic music. It will be my least fav album of the ones he has released. I keep hoping there will be a song that can resonate and do justice to his voice. Several of his covers have been really great and much better than his own music and I hate to say that. I guess I can't belong to the Glambert Club anymore.

I check in here about once a month. And still....day after day, month after month, year after year.......all the posts from each side of the fence regarding Adam sound the same.
Just think of what you could accomplish if you didn't waste so much time banging your heads against the wall on an hourly basis. Grow up, and get a life, people!

SC's hype and misinformation should not be ignored in my opinion. Unfortunately, SC has a small cult following.
I can ignore spamming by Gerry, runner, Jupiter and PaPa as they have zero credibility with anyone on QZ.

Very similar. They call that music “beats” ... I call it shit. The only ones who work on Adam’s music also write rap and Britney Spears songs.
Imagine singing along to songs written by the same songwriter that wrote that stupid Hit Me Baby One More Time song?!
Why do you keep saying about that when Max hasn't wrote a single song on his new album? Max didn't write most of his previous music either aside from a couple on the first album and his team wrote on the third one. The new album is lots of co-writers who are friends of his and they don't all write rap at all, at least if you're gonna keep calling him use facts instead of drivel.
Adam’s songs on his new album were written by people who write songs for bubblegum pop artists. In fact, one of the songwriters died last year. Obviously some of the songs weren’t even written for Adam.

You should not ignore anything by anyone. Queen has become a shadow of its former phenomenal self for many reasons. Lambert is only one of those reasons. There's also "Brian's revenge - the movie" Brian's embarrassingly stupid social media posts, assaults on cameramen, unreasonable requests to turn off queen in hotels etc.
Consequently an increasing number of people are speaking out. And it's actually those people who are critical of the direction in which queen had gone that should be listened to, not the blind worshippers and "yes" men and women. Historically people who have ignored criticisms and only listened to "yes" men have eventually met disaster. Some earlier, some later, but the end was seldom pretty.

Bubblegum pop is such a perfect way to describe Lambert's music. I've been trying to find an apt word to describe it and I think "bubblegum pop" is perfect.
