The Real Wizard is the wizard of ad hominems. I suppose it's easier to dismiss somebody as a troll than to actually seriously consider a point of view that is contrary to yours.

She isn't going to like it that you are comparing AL's ass to Trump's ass ;-).
Adam’s hair is done up like a munchkin’s hair from The Wizard Of Oz in his new music video.

Rock chick, have you read reviews of the movie after it came out? Countless people's perceptions were perfectly aligned with mine. There is nothing unique or unusual about my perceptions.
The only difference is that some people don't mind Freddie being depicted that way. Some people might even like it that way, and some don't care.
At the end of the day when you are making a film about a deceased person the standard has to be: would this person approve of being depicted this way if he were here standing next to me? Do you belive Brian employed that standard or principle? I think not.
Even if the movie doesn't harm queens reputation and sales, it was still a shitty thing to do. It's the principle of the thing that counts. [/QUOTE]
I don't believe Brian had that much say tbf, he's said himself that once they signed off on the movie being made they didn't have much control over it, that's how movies work, the studio are spending their money and want creative approval so regardless of any points Brian & Roger argued and he said there were a few, end of the day the studio had final say. B & R were executive producers for the music but not the movie itself so reading between the lines I get the impression they weren't 100% happy with the final cut but I guess they would be happy that it was as successful as it was and brought Queen music back high in the charts and garnered a lot of new fans. It was a movie not a documentary and all movies use artistic licence.
Sorry, I don't belive that. If Brian May said "no" it wouldn't have been in the movie. Not in a Million years. Just like he said "no" to Sacha Barron Cohen.
I don't think there is anything wrong with the live IG video. It is a nice gesture that he made it. He is thinking of his fans and it is boring to sit with nothing to do right now, so it gets his mind and his fan's minds off of the virus for a while. Artists are a bit eccentric and he is wearing velvet, the theme of the album, and he is paying homage to New Eyes with the pics of the eyes behind him and the glasses. Everyone from way back until now wears wear shades. They are kind of cool and match the vibe of the red velvet. You can't reinvent the wheel as far as things to wear and hair anymore.
I find it interesting that people criticize his looks and his outfits (not today specifically, but in general), when Elton John and Gaga and others never get the same criticism. I also don't understand the fat business. Who cares? Pictures are deceiving and the camera adds 10lbs they always say. He also tends to wear big floppy clothes for whatever reason. The pants are the only tighter piece of clothing otherwise he tends to layer and it is hard to see anything. I do know that I did a photo with him a few years back and was astounded how thin he was in real life. After the hug you could tell there wasn't much meat on the old bones, although on the stage in all his finery, he didn't look skinny. I don't know if he has gained since then, but I doubt he is fat like some of you love saying.
The music live was really good at my concert in Dec, so I will probably buy this album and maybe it will grow on me. Hearing it track by track was a lot of fun and I appreciate it a little more and the thought that went into the album. We will see what happens with it. He isn't afraid to go down different paths and I admire him for that. He can do what he likes and it either works or it doesn't.
snifflese, I have a Google YouTube player and today I played the whole album on it. When you hear it all together and not the individual songs separately, it sounds great. Also, the videos are played. I forgot about the mini videos he made. There are 4 major videos and 6 mini videos.
This morning Velvet was still charting in the top 10 albums!
I will have to do that!! Thanks for letting me know. I really did enjoy the IG also, Thanks! Stay safe, Caroline!
Glad the album charting. If it weren't for the current situation, who knows? This time he would have had great exposure on all those TV shows, but nothing to done about it. Everyone is unfortunately in the same miserable boat! I sure hope and pray that things will recover sooner rather than later for everyone in the world.

Well at least this time there are no fake excuses as to why he's not on TV.

Snifflese has no problem with anything SweetCaroline does.
Up to your usual lovely standards, Icy! Snotty remarks as usual. No, I have no excuses for the album and didn't for others. Just the first one, as I do think homophobia played a part. YMMV. At least SC isn't mean spirited. I would much rather see tweets and links that are related to QAL and the guys and not nasty posts about them and the people who are posting positive comments and trying to discuss QAL.

Up to my usual standards and snotty remarks as usual you say, oh come on. You have said more than once you have no problem with anything SweetCaroline does. That has been stated by you, in your own posts. Why get mad and upset at me for something you have posted?
As for excuses, he was about to get big time promo on network tv, which has been cancelled. It's been gripped about that AL wasn't promoted enough before, so that's why I said what will be the excuse be now. Because it's well known someone here has excuses about when things don't happen for AL, even stupid things like he isn't a British gay man.
I never even mentioned homophobia in my above post, so what does homophobia have anything to do with my reply above. Don't know where that's coming from.
Oh, at least SweetCaroline isn't mean spirited you say. Yes, she sure can be, but you are blind to it of course. I'm sure she is so nice to contact to lie about me, comparing me to Trump Hitler and the Gestapo is just so kind of her, and her mocling my mental health as my father was dying, wow, she is not mean spirited at all, is she? Who are you trying fool, yourselves? Positive my ass. But that's what you want, positive only, by your fellow Glamberts. Thee real world isn't like that. If you want postive only, there is Adamtopia which would suit you much better,. you'd rather read Adam spam than even to lift a finger to discuss Freddie or Queen in the meantime. What's your excuse now? Many things are closed down, millions are stuck inside, will you take the time now to learn a few things about Freddie and or Queen? To post about it, even in here?

If it’s nothing but praise, it’s fucking worship. I hear nothing but praise for Donald Trump from his worshippers. Gross.
At least the Freddie fans admit Freddie couldn’t always hit the notes. He’d fuck up and drink too much sometimes. Lived excessive. Cocaine. Smashing mirrors, trashing places.
Rock and roll isn’t supposed to be clean, anyways. You need dirt and grit. Bleeding throats. Arguments. Fights. Bad, abusive relationships. Adam is like the Barry Manilow version of a rock star. Queen’s music sounds good to a degree no matter who sings it because it’s music written about real life situations, no matter what they claimed. All of Freddie’s power ballads have a source, so do Brian’s. And Roger and John’s songs, too.
You love listening to Adam singing Queen songs more than him singing his own, because Queen’s music actually meant something. The song writing is the most important aspect.
