You should not ignore anything by anyone. Queen has become a shadow of its former phenomenal self for many reasons. Lambert is only one of those reasons. There's also "Brian's revenge - the movie" Brian's embarrassingly stupid social media posts, assaults on cameramen, unreasonable requests to turn off queen in hotels etc.
Consequently an increasing number of people are speaking out. And it's actually those people who are critical of the direction in which queen had gone that should be listened to, not the blind worshippers and "yes" men and women. Historically people who have ignored criticisms and only listened to "yes" men have eventually met disaster. Some earlier, some later, but the end was seldom pretty.
Drama Queen. At the end of the day they're selling a product which you can choose to buy or not. You don't own the music, the band, its history or legacy. You're just a customer.

Very similar. They call that music “beats” ... I call it shit. The only ones who work on Adam’s music also write rap and Britney Spears songs.
Imagine singing along to songs written by the same songwriter that wrote that stupid Hit Me Baby One More Time song?!
Why do you keep saying about that when Max hasn't wrote a single song on his new album? Max didn't write most of his previous music either aside from a couple on the first album and his team wrote on the third one. The new album is lots of co-writers who are friends of his and they don't all write rap at all, at least if you're gonna keep calling him use facts instead of drivel.

Adam’s songs on his new album were written by people who write songs for bubblegum pop artists. In fact, one of the songwriters died last year. Obviously some of the songs weren’t even written for Adam.
The songs were all co-written by Adam with various writers/producers and he worked on the demo of Velvet with Busbee and then reworked it later with someone else. You keep going on and on about who writes the music trying to prove some point that's irrelevant, he's never pretended to write the stuff by himself he's always said he loves collaborating and gives credit fully to whoever he works with both writing and producing.

The Same Old Dribble Must Go On

@Holly 2003, queens legacy does not end with me. If Brian and Roger destroy the band's image then what are the chances that young people in the future will get into queen?
Do you think Freddie would be happy with having his life's work tarnished by a idiotic decisions in the future!

Why does any of that matter? I couldn't give a hoot. I was alive at the same time as Freddie Mercury. I got to experience nearly 2 decades of great music. I saw them play live twice. When Fred died in 1991 the thunder and lightning was gone. Future generations still have the recorded music. And if by some chance Queen are forgotten about decades from now (unlikely) why should I care?

You must be living under a rock if you think what they're doing will stop young people getting into Queen, it's the opposite, tons of young new fans are now Queen fans because of the movie you hate and the fact they're still touring. Their image is destroyed only in your head, out in the real world new fans, especially young kids are loving Queen.

I'm certainly not living under a rock. Perceptions and reputations definitely do matter. For example, I quite like Guns 'n' Roses, but I refuse to buy any of their albums because Axle Rose is Dick. Even with queen, I'm reluctant to spend big money on their products these days, whereas 10 -15 years ago I would have been all over those overpriced boxed sets and vinyl reissues.
Also being a glambert you probably don't mind at all that thanks to "Brian's Revenge -- the movie " countless young people are going to think that Brian was the driving force and the mastermind of queens success while Freddie was the unrealiable bumbling idiot who had to beg on his knees to be allowed back into Queen.
Do you think that Freddie would allow himself to be depicted this way if he were alive? I think not.

Do you have documentation they worked together?

Well I'd say we have a different view of the movie, that's not how I perceived it and judging by the success (beyond anyone's wildest imagination) and the fact tons of new fans are now loving Queen music and raving on about Freddie all over social media, even young kids, I'd say they didn't get the same message you did from it either. I know the timelines were screwed up and moved around but aside from that I didn't think it depicted Freddie in a bad light or Brian as the driving force but then being as I'm a Queen fan rather than a glambert I already know their history so I can't say for sure what newer fans gleaned from it.

Adam just did a live instagram on iheart radio talking about every track, who he wrote them with, who produced them etc and he said busbee died not long after they did the track together.

Rock chick, have you read reviews of the movie after it came out? Countless people's perceptions were perfectly aligned with mine. There is nothing unique or unusual about my perceptions.
The only difference is that some people don't mind Freddie being depicted that way. Some people might even like it that way, and some don't care.
At the end of the day when you are making a film about a deceased person the standard has to be: would this person approve of being depicted this way if he were here standing next to me? Do you belive Brian employed that standard or principle? I think not.
Even if the movie doesn't harm queens reputation and sales, it was still a shitty thing to do. It's the principle of the thing that counts.
