In fact, It's Late was released as a single in the US in 1978,

I think the world of Was It All Worth It. A true Queen epic that more fans should know. Love, love, love. Also have always been a big fan of You and I, Need Your Loving Tonight and It’s Late. Cool Cat too.

The Millionaire Waltz and Was It All Worth It are awesome songs for singles, also i fear You and I was a great album track but the British public would not have took to it on mass,no real catch no hook to it imo which makes for a poor single like Backchat which did nowt just scrapped top 40

A horrible thought just occurred to me. One Year of Love. There’s always a market for over sung syrupy ballads.

But in general Queen released too many singles. Another topic could be which ones would you leave out if you had to keep it to two singles, or even one single per album.

If Was It All Worth It was released as a single then it would've been the sixth one from the same album. That in my opinion is too many, as is five. Which single(s) from The Miracle shouldn't have been one? I Want It All and Breakthru were wise choices in my opinion both big hits.

You And I should've been a single I feel, it's better than You're My Best Friend but is still as commercial and catchy, a bit like the love version of Seven Seas Of Rhye!

In The Lap Of The Gods...Revisited could've been the third single from Sheer Heart Attack, a great song to play live due to it being a singalong and that would've made it a great performance on Top Of The Pops!

Probably right on the first two Miracle singles. But it’s hard to judge on chart positions. The first single from each album was usually the highest charting. The second often the second highest. By then a lot of people have bought the album . Breakthru worked because it suited a summer release and had a novelty video. I want it all is really the only one with lasting airplay from that album.

“One Year of Love” & “Drowse” get my vote.

"The Invisible Man" & "Scandel" were bad choices for single releases here in the UK and i would have thought "Was It All Worth It" would be the perfect choice after "Breakthru".
I think "One Year Of Love" was actually a single in and around Europe and not really single compatible i would have thought.

In my opinion, there were no songs overlooked as singles, and there generally should not have been more than three singles per album (with the exception of Another One Bites the Dust)

After the 70s, music became all about singles and videos for most bands, and unfortunately the significance of album rock radio faded.
