Let Me Live
Let Me Live was a favorite of mine since the first time I heard it November 1995. When I first heard it, I thought it was a new song written on the bands final days with Freddie. Of course we know now it’s origins wer...

Which Queen song did the band overlook as a potential single?
I think the world of Was It All Worth It. A true Queen epic that more fans should know. Love, love, love. Also have always been a big fan of You and I, Need Your Loving Tonight and It’s Late. Cool Cat too.

Jim Beach timeline question - when did he know about Freddie?
Fascinating to know what Jim Beach knew in 1986.

Jim Beach timeline question - when did he know about Freddie?
Very good question. Now I'd like to take a look at the Jim Beach comments in question, which I've probably seen at some point. It's always fascinating to try to know things no one will likely ever know. So things like...

Hammer to Fall vs It's a Hard Life
I really like Hammer To Fall. It’s very underrated in the Queen catalogue. They absolutely crushed this at Live Aid. Hard Life is a nice song. Everything Freddie touched was terrific. But I’d take HTF in a pick ‘em.

Using the doomsday clock to discribe John Deacon 95-19
I know John is a super private person and I respect that but I always wished he had been there for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. That said, he was at the Tribute Concert and that was far more meaningful.

To settle the "Duck House" Video Claims....
I for one was tricked into thinking that was Freddie’s final interview in Champions of the World. That was definitely edited in a deceptive way. If they had a caption on screen that said “Freddie Mercury, 1984” they c...

Hot Space...give it a chance...
I can see why Hot Space wasn't popular at the time, especially in the US. But Under Pressure is an all-time classic. I love Cool Cat. Freddie is sensational on that. My 11-year-old daughter loves Backchat. Staying Pow...

Dreamer's Ball
I love Dreamer's Ball. It's a terrific little pop song.

Songs Featured in Bohemian Rhapsody
Heard We Will Rock You on our local classic rock radio station today for the thousandth time and it got me thinking. No doubt Queen has gotten a huge boost from the film. Heck, my daughter just told me today that her...

Were you ever mocked at school for liking Queen?
There's no doubt that countless people held Freddie's sexuality against the band. Yes, millions didn't give a damn about it and rightfully so. But far too many did, here in the US and elsewhere. Two members of my fami...

Thank God it’s Christmas video
I heard Thank God It’s Christmas on our local classic rock radio station here in Buffalo, NY this week. Pretty shocked to hear it. The film has raised Queen’s profile in the US in a big way. I hear them on commercial...

US Boost From Live Aid?
Then that’s it. Most of America didn’t see the full set in all its majesty. And back then, it was on once and into the ether. Too bad they hadn’t played the exact same show in Philadelphia. That would have brought on...

First reactions to the These Are The Days of Our Lives Video?
In one of the recent books - either Somebody to Love or the latest Leslie-Ann Jones book - the president of Hollywood Records arranges to have a meeting with Freddie. He'd heard the rumors and wanted to at least meet...

Bohemian Rhapsody - 2nd trailer
I’m shocked they are showing 1983 Freddie in 1977. That is an amateurish oversight. Here’s an idea: maybe watch the video for We Will Rock You. No one from Queen - Brian, Roger, Jim Beach - no one noticed this? Not a...
