I have to admit Hank that I haven't really delved yet into the world of 80s Miles, but now that I know he associated himself with Zucchero I think I'll definitely stay clear.
Apparently in 1988 Miles heard Zucchero's "Dunne Mosse" on the radio whilst thouring in Italy, and invited Z to record a special version of it with him in New York, the lucky wanker. This version was never released but "they did perform it live several times".
Weird. His name doesn't quite sit alongside that of John Coltrane, Bill Evans, Paul Chambers, Herbie Hancock, Tony Williams, John McLaughlin et al really.

I haven't heard any of Zucchero's own material, but I can see that he's probably a great singer, when he's singing songs that are actually in his vocal range. WATC does not fit into that category.
