"I did post this, certainly not to make anyone jealous or something, but as the making of the book has been in the news for over a year and it is a great Queen document I decided to let interested people know that the book has been finalized and delivered".

This is the exact reason why I have stopped posting these past few months - because no matter how altruistic or pure the motive may seem to be - there is always some sniper willing to take a pot-shot because they feel hard done-by.

Although, ultimately depremental to the zone, life is easier in the shadows.

Perhaps that is reason for John's self-penned LP?

LOL!

Rien, I think making pictures of the book as a whole like laying it on a table and making pics of it while its opened/closed from not too far distance should not give you problems.
Only scanning pics or making pics from very close can maybe make some people unhappy :-)

The 'quiet' crowd appreciates the news some of you pass on to us, and the way it's presented.

The book is something we debated long and hard about, and in the end had to pass on purchasing. We don't begrudge anyone who has it in their collection.

A tad envious, perhaps......

It was either the book or a DVD Recorder.

No contest, I need to preserve my extended original broadcast version of Milton Keynes to DVD.

Nobody told you to stop posting. Everyone here is entitled to their two cents here, just like yourself.

Call us "snipers" all you want. I seem to recall you bragging about your version of Silver Salmon and how amazing it sounds to the merely average quality version in the hub. Shame on you and your arrogance.

All this coming from someone who offered to drop his crumbs (Hyde Park) to the peasants?

You were the only one who thought that John's posts in the Silver Salmon thread were "bragging" and "arrogant". Everybody else disagreed - oh wait, let's be honest: Dark Myuutwo was with you.

Sorry about the hijacking of your topic, Rien. I think most people here are happy for you and don't mind the least bit that you posted about getting the book.
I do not want any google ads here.

Well, I don't care anymore. But thanks YV. If we'd all agreed with each other then there would be no discussion or life would become very dull. But being told that "we don't want to know" when I give some information, is not very stimulating for future posting on my account. Things seem to be different when home-taped videos are made available on my site (about a certain concert I don't want to mention for obvious reasons - but is has some figures in it such as 4 and 6) then I find that my site was visited 560 times in one day with a download of 15GB in 24 hours. Sometimes a lot of people DO want to know. And the ones complaining are probably the first who download stuff offered for free.
And the Mick Rock book? I'm happy with it. Period.
